They must have spent a pretty penny for this amazing technological performance! Free of charge, and worth waiting around to watch it.
Get your videos to record it.
Impressive, I must say, though of course, dont also put too high expectations on it.
Nice, clean hotel/casino in general.

See the rising dragon with the lotus flower at Wynn Macau, at the Rotunda, complete with loud sounds and smoke effects. After the presentation, walk to see the water fountain show.

It was a great fifteen minutes. We stayed to watch both the Tree of Prosperity and the Dragon of Fortune shows. It was well worth the wait, as the shows are great and you are left wondering how superb the engineering is that went into the show. Definitely worth a visit.

This show can be seen at the Wynn hotel, Macau. It resumes in every 1 hour and it visually very beautiful. Its a free show for everyone and lasts for about 5-7 minutes. Visuals, light, sound and surprises in such a short time is lovely.

One of two mechanical performances held at the Rotunda atrium just outside the Wynn Casino is the Dragon of Fortune show. Which takes place on the hour between 10am and midnight.
Note: At this location there are two shows, this one and the Tree of Prosperity. They alternate every thirty minutes throughout the day. You can see the Dragon of Fortune show on the hour and Tree of Prosperity show on the half hour.
The Set is pretty neat. The floor and ceiling are delicately carved with the 12 animals of the Chinese zodiac. This is perhaps more interesting to see than the show itself.
The show is just a few minutes and consists of the floor opening up and a large mechanical dragon being lifted out of the ground. It spins slowly and moves its head around a bit. The ceiling eventually opens and there is a computer graphic of fire, which the dragon is supposed to have breathed.
In some ways the show is fun and something for families seeking out child-friendly sources of entertainment during stays in Macau. However, I wouldn't make your way to Wynn to see it. Just have a look if you happen to be there and want to watch.
Note: For a much more impressive free attraction at Wynn Macau, catch the Performing Lakes water show in front of the hotel. Shows are every fifteen minutes throughout the day and night.

It is absolutely a show not to be missed, totally for free at any time every hour inside the Wynn hotel.
This show lasts about 10-15 minutes.
In the middle of this large room there is this enormous sphere representing the world.
As soon as the music goes on this huge ball begins to open up itself and from the underground emerges a tree.
For about 5 minutes the shaft continues to turn round upon itself, most people who attend the show-throwing money and coins against the tree I believe to invoke good luck and fortune.
Then the tree ceases to spin and begins to slowly descend until completely submerged the big sphere driven by a mechanism giving fine closes the show.
I believe being a free show is very interesting and really worth watching.

We watched the Dragon of Fortune in the lobby of the Wynn Hotel during our recent stay in Macau. As we are now in the year of the Dragon, this was the perfect time to watch this show. The stage, performing area is quite neat. We enjoyed the ceiling and floor opening up and the dragon shooting out of the ground. However, it just spins in a circle, set to music before returning to the ground, ending the 2-3 minute show.
Overall, the show itself is a bit boring, but it is child friendly and the mechanics of the ceiling and floor opening up is neat. The show alternates with the Tree of Prosperity Show every 30 minutes so you can catch this separate performance at the same location.
Hint: Because the two shows, Dragon of Fortune and the Tree of Prosperity, alternate, after finishing one, you can go outside and watch the Performing Lake performance, in front of the Wynn sign. As this show takes place every 15 minutes and is also just 3 minutes long, you can watch it and then return to the Wynn Lobby to catch the other stage show. Thus, you can see all three of these child-friendly Wynn attractions in just over 35 minutes.

Yes! We were not staying in the hotel. The show is free and we enjoyed it.

What time the show starts and finishes?
It will be useful to plan my visit as we are there only for 3 days.

They show Dragon of Fortune and Tree of Prosperity intermittently every 30 min. So Dragon might appear at either round hours or every hour and 30 min. The show lasts about 5 min.and it's being presented at Rotunda of Wynn, about a min walk from the main entrance (follow the signs).
