This is the cheap and fun way up Guia Hill. Rides are short, just a few minutes are cost MOP2 one way, MOP3 return. The cable car lower terminus is at the entrance to Flora Garden and operating hours are 8am to 6pm (closed on Mondays).

This is an overshadowed, family-friendly activity on the Macau Peninsula and an easier way up the hill compared to walking up the track circuit. It is also a faster way up and down if you are trying to take in the World Heritage attractions upon Guia Hill during visits to Macau.

This is a fun way to see some of the city. It's also a nice way to get up or down from the park. It's a short ride - it's not meant for a site seeing tour as much as transportation. However, it's fun, quick, and cheap. You can go one way, so consider walking up or down and then taking the car the other direction.

While not major attraction like what you can find in the Ngong Ping 360 cable car in Hong Kong, this is still a fun, quick and convenient means for transportation up Guia hill.

During the cable car ride, you pass over Flora Garden before arriving at the upper terminus, where you can walk to the Guia Fortress, Chapel and Lighthouse, which are all included as part of the Historic City Centre of Macau World Heritage collection.

The Guia cable car lower terminus can be found at the entrance of Flora Garden, along Avenida do Sidónio Pais, approximate 15-20 minute walk from the main city centre attraction area. The ride is cheap at MOP2 - single ride or MOP3 - return journey.

Other interesting attractions worthy of visit in this area include the Flora Garden just below the Guia Cable and the very good Lou Lim Iok Garden (also called the Lou Lim Ieoc Garden), which is just a couple blocks away from the lower terminus. There is also the Dr. Sun Yat Sen House and the Tea Culture Museum found on the grounds of the Lou Lim Iok Garden.

Overall, this is not a feature attraction for visits to Macau but it’s a fun way to make your way up Guia Hill if you intend to visit the attractions located here.

Very convenient for anyone a tad physically challenged, but very difficult to find. Suggest you obtain good directions before taking the trip. The walk around at the top is most enjoyable despite the pollution severely reducing visibility. I would just love this cable car in the paddock down to the dam!!

Taking this ride is a matter if convienience rather than taking it for views or thrills.

This is an easy and very cheap way to get to and fro from the lighthouse.

The ride will last for about 3 minutes max and the carriages are old. You won't get much of a view apart from some run down apartments.

But what more can you expect for that price!

Super quaint little cable car.

Loads of fun for the little ones. It's almost a blessing in disguise that it's such a short ride as my kids attention span lasted the whole ride!

If you're on your own with a stroller, it's not the easiest entry (more exit!) but it is manageable. (You'll need your kids out the stroller to get in)

When you come down, the base station has a stairway exit. If you don't want to do that, ask them to send you back to the lifts.

Once you're up there, The top of the hill is really nice. The light house is cool, there is a little shop on the way for an ice block and the views are epic. Not much aircon up here on hot days, but walking under the shady trees is lovely....

We had done the hard part and walked up to the Guia fort so the ride down was purely for the fun of the ride. Takes just a few minutes to reach the end but good views of the vicinity and costs such a small amount.

This is a short and simple little cable car that takes you from street level to the top of Guia Hill and saves some steep walking. It was the bargain fare of 4 Mops for a one way journey. The attendant was a very friendly and chatty lady.

We always enjoy taking the short cable car ride at Flora Garden when we visit Guia Hill. Not a major attraction in Macau but definitely something fun to do every once in a while.

For just MOP2 (US$0.25) you can ride up the hill in the small 4 seater cable cars. The ride is just a few minutes long. A return journey is MOP3 (US$0.37). This is the sort of fun that fits everyones budget and its a neat way to ascend Guia Hill to visit the three World Heritage attractions there.

You can find the Guia Cable Car at the Flora Garden Gate, just off Avenida Sidónio Pais. This is a surprisingly fun little activity in Macau, especially if you have little ones.
