About
Underneath a blue-sky ceiling, Macau's largest indoor mall has a variety of brands, from luxury goods to fast fashion. An artificial canal and Venetian Gothic architecture add to the charm.

spectacular ligth show on the hotel facade
Nov 2019
Identical to the Canal shops in Las Vegas but much bigger. Beautifully designed with the canals and the houses. What we liked even better: Spectacular light show on the facade of the hotel at night. Be sure to check it out!

Popular shopping area situated in a replica Venice cityscape
Feb 2020
This was the first of four Shoppes complexes to go up along the Cotai Strip and remains the most interesting, being set amongst indoor Venetian like canals as well as replica landmarks from the city of Venice.

There are hundreds of retail shops in the Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian Macao as well as access to the three other Shoppes venues by connecting corridors to Four Seasons, Sands Cotai Central and Parisian for those who want to extend their shopping and dining experiences within the Shoppes.

Note: For the past decade, the Shoppes at Grand Canal has been one of the single busiest locations in Macau. visitors pack the floors and shops here, creating very crowded conditions most days throughout the year.

However, at present it is a ghost town due to the Coronavirus Outbreak. Presently, if you pass by the Shoppes, you'll find only a handful of shops open, perhaps less than 10%. Related, there are no tourists at the moment as well, meaning at times, you'll have entire canal areas to yourself. This will likely remain the case until the Macau government loosens restrictions on the border for mainland tourists to come back.

Great to walk around
Oct 2019
They could easily charge entry but they keep this as a free attraction which is for everyone, not just guests at the Venetian. I went to Venice last year and this brought back memories! When we went they'd set up a catwalk over the water for a fashion week so I'm sure usually its even more charming!

Throw a coin and make a wish
Aug 2019
Would definitely recommend to visit this place. I mean usually for such attractions one has to pay but it is free for outsiders then why not! A walk by the canal, the corridors, the painted blue sky lookalike ceiling makes it way more beautiful. Shopping, eating, canal ride. A place for couples as well as families.
You can also hire the boat for a ride.
Check out the huge food court serving different cuisines
* Don't forget to make a wish by throwing a coin into the canal. (Just Kiddin')

What a shame of its St. Mark's Square!
Nov 2018 • Family
I love the Grand Canal Shoppes in Vegas. I love the polished floor, the Venetian Gothic style & colourful buildings, the boutique shops, the artificial blue sky ceiling, canals and gondolas...etc. So I was pleased when I discovered that this Grand Canal Shoppes is just the same as Vegas'. The only differences here are with different shops and people, plus the missing of the peaceful St. Mark's Square, as they actually use it for a noisy and less classy food court instead.
I always love Venice and even this is only a replica Venice, I still love it. It's just a shame that they wasted the St. Mark's Square and turned it into a cheap and noisy food court instead. Otherwise, it'd deserved a good 5 stars!

Loved the canals and atmosphere, a "Must experience"
Mar 2019 • Family
This was definitely my most favourite "shopping mall" in Macau. It's lovely to walk along the canals (on the 3rd floor!) and look at the shops. And the lighting is amazing. When you look up it looks like you look into the sky and the lighting is so genuine that sometimes you do believe you're walking outdoors in daylight - even in the evening :) The shops are mostly high-end and not too cheap but that's the case for all shopping malls in Macau. In fact you'll find the same brands in each of the malls and often a brand even has got 2 or 3 branches in the same mall. But it doesn't mattel. the attraction are the canals, ceiling "lighting" and atmosphere. But it does feel like a "maze", we went twice and had trouble finding our way out :)
This one you shouldn't miss.

Interesting shopping venue along the canals at Venetian Macau
Feb 2019 • Solo
This is one of four Sands Shoppes venues which are connected by corridors and covered footbridge along the Cotai Strips. The other Shoppes properties are situated at Parisian, Four Seasons and Sands Cotai Central.

Here you will find a nice mix of boutique, midrange and high end retail brand shops which line the famous canals of Venetian Macau. There is a food court, Qube Kids Play Zone and access to the largest casino in the world. Visitors can also take gondola rides along the canals while spending time at Venetian.

Note - This is one of the most crowded locations in Macau during the day as many (if not most) tour groups to Macau make a stop here at the Shoppes at Venetian. Visits after 6pm are much more relaxed as the tour groups and day-trippers start to file out of the Venetian by then.

Good for fifteen minutes
Apr 2019 • Family
The Grand Canal Shoppes is one of the landmarks of Macau's gambling industry. The artificial Venice indoors is quite interesting to explore. There are European-style buildings, canals and even gondolas. Yes it it kitsch but the gigantic mall is a contrast to the sleepy alleys of the former Portuguese colony.
