They even have a Starbucks!
Nov 2019 • Friends
We arrived about an hour prior to our departure to Hong Kong and we’re glad we did. We were hungry and there were several restaurants upstairs including a Starbucks and a McDonalds, perfect for a small snack.

Make sure you arrive early though as you will need to clear customs prior to boarding.

Main ferry terminal in Macau
Apr 2019 • Solo
This is main ferry terminal on the Macau Peninsula. It is also called the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal (MAC) and is primarily serviced by TurboJet ferry company.

You can purchase ferry tickets directly on the TurboJet website or at the ticket booths and ticketing machines at this ferry terminal.

You will find luggage hold facility, ATM machines, Forex service, Sim Card machines, clean bathroom, postal service and a handful of eateries, coffee shops and retail shops at the ferry terminal. There is also a MGTO tourist office if you need maps and brochures for sightseeing.

From the ferry terminal, taxi service is readily available. A handful of public buses call upon the ferry terminal as well. These include important routes like 3, 3A, 10 and 10A which call up on the Macau World Heritage area.

For those wanting to go straight to the casinos and hotels, most major properties have free shuttle service that can be found directly outside the ferry terminal. Just follow the signs or ask reps from the various properties who will gladly point you in the right direction.

Nice and well maintained. Very clean and this is the place to get back to Hong Kong from Macau.

Only thing which you do not enjoy are those people there who are trying to get you book taxi with them!

Efficient

Travelled from Hong Kong to Macau and returned the same day. Trip takes about 55 minutes one way. Terminal was clean as were the toilets. Shops to buy snacks and drinks and plenty of seating at all the gates.

Well organised in a decent location
May 2018 • Solo
Plenty of seating and shops make this a pretty pleasant place to wait for a ferry. Everywhere is clean and there’s plenty of well attended clean toilets available. There’s also some good sit down restaurants for a proper meal if time allows. All the signs and announcements are clear with everything running seamlessly. The location is also great - there’s lots of transport options available right outside the entrance but it’s also possible to walk into the centre and along the waterfront. A well run transport hub!

Try the Premier Grand Class!
Mar 2019 • Couples
We had a fantastic trip back to Hong Kong by virtue of the fact of having selected the option of the Premier Grand Class. The pork chop meal was welcome- the white wine even moreso and there was constant refill of water and even after dinner chocolates on the return journey. This style of travelling did a great deal to lift our spirits.

Still my preferred way to Macau
Feb 2019 • Friends
While the Hong Kong-Macao-Zhuhai Bridge is undoubtedly fascinating, the frequent and reliable ferry service is still my preferred way between Hong Kong and Macau. It actually feels better with the diversion brought about from the Bridge. If you can afford more, the food which is complimentary to the deluxe tickets is quite nice and the seating is more comfortable too.

24 hour ferry service to/from Hong Kong
Feb 2019 • Couples
The Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal is the main ferry terminal in Macau and is located near the southeast corner of the Macau Peninsula. It underwent major renovations around 4-5 years ago and is now a good terminal for those planning day trips or multiple-night stays from neighbouring Hong Kong.

The major company providing Hong Kong <> Macau ferries is TurboJet and they provide 24 hour services between the two cities. You can purchase ferry tickets online or at the many ticketing booths on the second floor of this ferry terminal, just across from the entrance into the restricted departure area. These days you can purchase e-tickets on the TurboJet website and simply use your mobile phone to enter.

For those arriving at the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal and wanting to immediately make way to the Historic Centre of Macau, there are two main transportation options. There are plenty of taxis just outside the ferry terminal as well as a bus stop which is frequented by several buses (3, 3A, 10 and 10A) which all pass near to the Senado Square. Bus fares are now standardised at MOP6 per person no matter what route you take. Make sure to have correct fare ready as drivers don't provide change. Note that HKD coins are accepted for bus rides if you don't have MOP.

For those wanting to go directly to the Cotai Strip, simply make way directly to the large shuttle bay across from the ferry terminal entrance. There you will find shuttle drop-off/pick-up spots for all of the major hotels along the Cotai Strip and elsewhere throughout Macau. Just board the property shuttle that you are interested in visiting first and off you go. Similarly, you can take free shuttles from the various hotel & casinos when you are ready to return to the Outer Harbour Ferry Terminal for your return journey to HK.

As for other services provided at the ferry terminal. Here you will find a few eateries, retail shops, clean restrooms, lockers, cash points, sim car vending machines, post office as well as the very important Macau Government Tourist Office (MGTO) just before the terminal exit. This is where you can pick up handy maps of Macau and other general information on events and activities taking place around the city.

Ferry Terminal

This is not an attraction !!! You use this ferry terminal just as you use a railway station or an airport ! It offers very frequent connections to Hong Kong , and also a very convenient direct link to HK International Airport !
