Chinese style garden in St. Anthony's Parish
Nov 2018 • Solo
San Kio is a small garden on Travessa da Corda, near to Lin Kai Temple in St. Anthony's Parish. It is open from 7am to 6pm daily.

What visitors will find here is a simple garden which features a memorial archway gate, pavilions, winding corridors and other structures of traditional Chinese architecture.

The garden buildings are brightly (red) coloured and includes a few sculptures, greenery, hanging bird cages and sitting chairs for locals who want to spend time in the garden.

The San Kio garden is bit isolated from the main sightseeing area around the Historic Centre of Macau. However, there are a few other things to see nearby including Lin Kai Temple, the Art Deco style Cinema Alegro building and the Fire Service Museum (400 metres) to the south.

Small garden with Chinese architecture near Lin Kai Temple
Nov 2016 • Solo
San Kio is a small open garden next to the Cinema Alegro and near Lin Kai Temple on Estrada do Repouso. Opening hours are 7am to 6pm.

Here you will find traditional Chinese style architecture in the brightly coloured and decorative garden entrance. The interior area is quite small but interesting. There is a pavilion structure, red lanterns and bird cages amongst the vegetation. You will also see an open covered area, round tables with locals relaxing, enjoying tea and conversation.

Have a quick peek inside if you plan on sightseeing in this area of Macau. You can conveniently combine with a walk through the near Lin Kai Temple. Then make your way south back towards the Historic City Centre and you can also pay visit to the interesting Fire Service Museum.
