I was back in Puerto de Mogan with my sister in law and we’re staying once again at the Cordial Mogan Playa.
Yesterday we booked the Mondragon's Dream boat trip from the marina.
I had experienced it in 2018 with my late husband and we loved it!
(Due Covid it wasn’t available again until recently)
Let me tell you all that it is still one of the hidden gems gems of the island.
Letitia and her husband have put their heart and soul into making the trip memorable and you find out about the history of the island while you are taken around the coast. It also includes a stop in a lagoon to swim or snorkel and beautiful home made traditional Canarian food.
I can’t recommend this trip highly enough.
A unique and relaxing experience. ☺️

Lovely relaxed sail from Puerta de Mogan - great views and very knowledgeable Information shared about the surrounding views and history.
Excellent homemade lunch of Canarian specialities accompanied with wine or beer of pretty much anything you wanted.
Time for snorkeling aswell.
The boat is a traditional wooden Schooner, restored to its prime condition.

This is the best attraction in Gran Canaria & was the highlight of our recent stay.We (2 of us) were really treated well , they go the extra mile even to the extent of emailing photos taken on the boat for when you get back. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Every review has rated this attraction excellent, it is simply the best

We saw this impressive sailing boat in the harbour of our holiday resort, Puerto Mogan within a couple of days of arriving here.
We had both fancied a sailing trip whilst we were on holiday, so noted the details & got in touch with the owners/crew the following day.
We were not disappointed - excellent value for money, and well looked after by the friendly couple who both owned the boat & ran the sailing trips.
My husband & I were joined by 10 other passengers; a mixture of adults & children, and there was plenty of room for all of us to lounge around on deck.
Before lunch there was time for a swim for those who wished to.
Lunch was delicious; included canarian potatoes & mojo sauce, bread with cheese / and or ham. Potato omelette/frittata.
If you enjoy being out at sea, make sure you book & don't miss out of this little gem!

We booked mondragons dream for our last day of the holiday and had looked forward to this all week and we were not disappointed. We went out in the afternoon and felt like millionaires for the whole trip , Letitia was wonderful and gave us so much information about the island and it's history and Reuben her husband and captain was also a fantastic chef . We were lucky to have the boat to ourselves and swam in a cove by ourselves ,then had a wonderful lunch and wine and watched the sun go down beautiful ! This was the most amazing day and worth every penny, cannot recommend highly enough.

Thoroughly recommend this trip. It's run by the two owners, a lovely young couple who refurbished the boat over 4 years. They only take up to 12 persons on each voyage. Drinks are freely available and the on-board cooked food is authentic Canarian and excellent. The couple are very friendly and knowledgeable about Gran Canaria and the Canaries. The swimming off the boat, with snorkels and buoyancy aids would suit all skill and fitness levels. The 4 hour trip is just right and will leave you smiling. Fred

If you visit Gran Canaria, Mondragon's Dream boat trip is a must!
The boat is stunning, and the couple that run it are lovely. From speaking to the lady we found out that the Mondragon is also their home and they definitely made you feel like welcomed guests in their home.

Drinks were served on arrival then we spent about 50 mins relaxing on top deck listening to stories of gran canaria from the hostess whilst we sailed to Anfi, we then had time to swim before a beautiful homemade lunch whilst the hosts allowed you time to eat, chat and enjoy the beautiful food. Drinks were served throughout the trip either by request or at appropriate intervals by the hostess.

The hostess can speak several languages and was relaxed and accommodating, the host (who is captain and chef) was also very friendly and took time to talk to all the guests.

They people on board were a mix of families, couples and friends.

Having read other reviews had to try it and to be honest were a little disappointed. Maybe we were just unlucky.

Due to choppy seas we went left out of harbour instead of normal right!

Travelled for about an hour or so to Anfi where we dropped anchor. En route saw some flying fish.

Went for a swim or snorkle whichever you wanted. Due to the location being very close to Anfi harbour - swimming / snorkling was not the best as boats leaving the harbour kept the swell up as did the local sports enthusiasts on jet skis etc.

The food was as described - prawns, canarian potatoes, bread, cheeses and melon etc. To be honest fairly run of the mill.

We then returned to Mogan.

Staff were very pleasant.

Perhaps we have been spoiled elsewhere ( Montana pine trip - Turkey) but for the money charged - 145 euros for two adults and a child I think the trip was slightly disappointing.
