About Blue Marlin Dive Gili Air
Blue Marlin presents the latest addition to the family - Blue Marlin Air. Our newest PADI 5* dive resort is situated on the sunset side of Gili Air, known for its natural beauty and an effortlessly slow pace of life. Just 15 minutes away from the island’s centre and harbour, our quiet location will make you feel as if you have the island and sunset all to yourself. While we've only just opened in June 2016, we have the knowledge and experience earned by being the original dive centre of the Gilis, now operating for over 25 years. Just as you'll find at our other dive centres, we stand out with our personal approach, quality service and family feel amidst a small, multilingual team of inspired diving professionals. We offer all PADI scuba diving courses, from beginner to Divemaster, daily fun diving and beachside bungalows. Diving: As a PADI 5* Dive Resort, we offer daily fun diving as well scuba courses in multiple languages. We believe in small groups, never exceeding a ratio of 4 divers per guide, in order to reduce underwater crowding and allow for a more personal feel. All of our equipment is excellently maintained Aqualung gear, most of it brand new. Our 80 HP traditional Indonesian outrigger boat, Charlie, provides comfortable rides to and from the dive sites. Dive trips depart from directly in front of the dive shop and most dive sites are about 10-20 minutes from our resort, meaning that you spend more time underwater and less time on the boat. Choose between over 20 different sites, each with its own character. From sloping reefs and walls, bio rocks and wrecks - the Gilis offer plenty of diverse underwater environments. You can easily spot turtles, reef sharks, morays, sting rays, octopus and macro critters. The Location: We are situated on the sunset side of Gili Air, just 15 minutes away from Lombok or 2 hours from Bali via speedboat. Gili Air is known for its natural beauty, turquoise waters and effortlessly slow pace of life. Our island features bicycles and horse carriages in lieu of motorised transportation and you’ll find that foregoing your shoes is the obvious choice. Just 15 minutes away from the island’s centre and harbour, our quiet location will make you feel as if you have the island and sunset all to yourself. The Resort: Our beachside resort offers the perfect place to enjoy your holiday free from crowds. We offer 6 beautifully designed bungalows amidst a lush, tropical garden. Our 16sqm bungalows, just a stone's throw from the private beach, feature a king sized bed and private terrasse overlooking the resort pool. Air conditioning, TV, fresh hot water shower, mini fridge and plenty of storage space are standard in each of the spacious rooms. Our 22m swimming pool is split into different sections to best suit our scuba training needs as well as minimizing noise and distractions for our resort guests.

I came to Gili Air to get my diving license before going to the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. Since it was the low season I basically had a private course since I was the only one doing the licence during this time. It was really fantastic to go at my own pace and the staff made me feel very welcome. The dives they go to are all over the Gili Islands: plenty of turtles, some octopus and even small sharks! The Blue Marlin crew always tried to get to places before the other dive centers which was nice since it wasn't so crowded. I only took a look at the other centers from outside, but none seemed as professional looking as Blue Marlin. All in all, it was wonderful with really good equipment that just felt safe. Also, the divers have the best tips for eating around the island. Definitely check it out!

I happened to be in the diving Center because of the rain and it was the best which could’ve happened. My teacher was really patient and we had lots of fun! The underwater world is just incredible, especially at this time of the year not many people are around, so you basically swim alone with turtles, sharks and Nemos 😊 Everything was really safe and all the diving stuff was taken care of very well! Felt safe all the time. Highly recommend it - had an amazing time!

We had an incredible time diving with Blue Marlin on Gili Air. Shout out to Carla and Erica for providing a comfortable, safe and fun experience for myself and my friend. It had been 1.5 years since I last went diving and the Dive Instructors made sure that I felt supported and comfortable with each and every dive. Highly recommend diving with them!

This was our last diving stop on our recent trip to Indonesia. We came to Gili Air from Raja Ampat, therefore these reefs had some big shoes to fill! While the diving was different than previous places we visited on our trip, the Gilis have a lot to offer. We saw TONS of turtles, squid, Scorpion fish, and baby white tip reef sharks! The atmosphere os Gili Air is so charming- laid back little island with only bicycles! Our hotel was about a 5 minute walk down the "road" aka sand path along the beach. We kept our dive gear at the shop at no additional cost. There is a fantastic pool on site to cool off in between dives. And the restaurant has great food too! If you're going to dive on Gili Air, give this shop a try- you won't be disappointed!
