Fun and flavor rolled into one! Gili Cooking Classes provides a relaxed and fun learning space to indulge in a memorable cultural experience. Our charismatic chefs will guide you and your friends through preparing, cooking, and eating several of the region’s most popular dishes. Each chef is professionally trained and will be happy to answer any questions throughout the class. All food is locally sourced fresh produce, ensuring all dishes are packed with flavor. Vegan or Vegetarian? We’ve got you covered. All our menus have been designed to allow for meat substitutes so that everyone can enjoy a fun day in the kitchen. We had a wonderful experience!! Eko was a fantastic cooking instructor. His english was very impressive and his knowledge of Indonesian food was exceptional. He and his assistant made the class really fun with great music and jokes and overall made the class very enjoyable for everyone. The food was delicious! I would definitely recommend the class to anyone looking for a fun lunchtime or evening activity. The option to purchase drinks from the bar next door was a bonus too!

My wife and I spontaneously decided to take the class and try our hands at cooking bali food and what a great experience. We had Eko as our teacher for the night and he was amazing and extremely helpful/informative about all the ingredients and the meaning behind each dish. I only wish I came hungrier cause there was definitely left overs to take back to the hotel with us. 5/5 stars highly recommend anyone come and give this a try. Food is fantastic.

I highly recommend taking this class while on Gili T! You won’t regret it! Partying isn’t really my thing when traveling solo do this was the perfect alternative for me. I met new, interesting people and the staff and chefs were just so incredible! They’re so welcoming. The dishes are fun to make. There was a lot of laughter, a lot of eating delicious food, a lot of learning about each other, a lot of learning about the dishes and a lot of singing! Don’t miss this while on the island. I’m not an avid cook nor do I usually enjoy cooking but I thoroughly enjoyed this class!

Perfect experience with Eco and his cooking mates! They was so kind and funny!! It wasn't in our planning but we saw their poster and the people cooking in their local and we decided to do It.
And now, i'm so happy to have shared that amazing moment with all of them cooking and learning about their delicious food. Now, we have an unforgettable great moment that was unexpected. It is totally recomended. Thank you so much Eco, Party and Wan!!! All of you have to go and learn to cook the chicken curry, simply the Best!

We had the best time learning how to make our favourite Indonesian dishes! The kitchen was clean and lovely and in a great location next to the beach. The instructors were really friendly and helpful. We would really recommend this as a fun activity to do in Gili T :-)

Such an amazing experience! Very well organized by a lovey group of people who share their passion for local food with you. Can’t say enough great things. Do yourself a favor and try this experience! You’ll have a great time, a few laughs, eat well, and take home some of the best recipes in Indonesia!

Eko and his crew were truly brilliant! We did the 4 course class and every dish was such a fun time to make. They were so helpful, knowledgeable about Indonesian cuisine and also hilarious at the same time. If you book this class you will not be disappointed at all!

The experience was really good, also the food. They made us the best chefs! They were nice and helped us all the way. They listen to music and is singing along, really funny! So, you should definitely have this in your bucket list.

Me and my boyfriend had such a fun time learning how to cook 4 different Indonesian dishes. Two chefs, Eko and Wang worked with us and created a super fun environment, whilst also teaching us what to do. We got to taste the food and take home the recipes for each. We would definitely recommend going if you are in Gili T!

Can’t recommend highly enough. Excellent pace, truly delicious food, and great vibes for the whole class. We did the super six dishes, each one was excellent, including the dessert. Learnt a bit about the Indonesian ingredients as we went, learnt a new technique or two, and our three hosts kept us very happy indeed. Great fun, I was worried about being too hot but they have fans which keep you cool and of course a nice cold bintang if you want it. Fantastic!

Hi Jo,
The cooking class in Trawangan are now close but you will find us in Gili Air.
We are located at the harbour of Gili Air.
You can join the 11.30am class by taking the public boat (island hopping) at 9.30am. Rp40,000/way/pers.
After the class you can enjoy Gili Air for a couple of hours and take back the boat to Gili Trawangan at 3pm.
