We got the right before the big crowds came, thank goodness. I recommend getting a snorkel tour, they have them all along the beaches. They know when it's busy and not and can adjust the stops accordingly. The statues are beautiful and I was able...More

...we had them to ourselves and, it can’t be denied, they take a great photo for all of us tourists. That’s what they’re there for. Look at one of the pics I took! And we’re all tourists when we VISIT the Gilis. Accept it. I...More

Basically some statues dumped in the ocean. The only fish are there because someone from a snorkeling boat puts bread in the water. The other coral features are better.

The best time to go is super early. Take a private boat or the public shuttle and just swim to it. Best way to experience and take photo. If you go with the tour or after 10am the place gets really crowded. Not to deep...More

We were very lucky to see the statues without many people around. It is a very busy spot from what I hear and all the snorkel boats stop there. I love the statues and was happy to see them.

Nice snorkeling site which is easily reachable from the shore. The only problem is that most of the time there are so many snorkelers from tourist boats, that it is almost impossible to take any pictures where you would be alone. Would recommend to try...More
