- Sofia MKalamaria, Greece9 contributionsPerfect beachPerfect beach, with a lot of space to sit and enjoy the water. The water is cold and refreshing. The atmosphere is romantic and very unique since it seems like a desert 🏜️. Especially during the sunset the beach offers a breathtaking view. If you want to sit in the sunbeds, they cost 10€ (2 sunbeds and an umbrella), but there is also a lot of space for your own umbrella.Visited August 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten August 18, 2023
- Gary10 contributionsBest beach in Saint George, if not cORFUAbsolutely fabulous beach with clean golden sand. It's about a mile long with a nudist beach to the end farthest from Saint George village. We stayed at the first set of beds after the water sports - as you walk from the village. These were run by a lovely Yorkshire lass called Lisa who was very helpful, informative and friendly - a joy to have around. We really enjoyed our days there.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 15, 2023
- Angela E6 contributionsBeautiful beachLong stretch of sandy beach backed by dunes. Big parking area, very popular but is so big there is plenty of space. Parasols and beds well spaced, extensive boardwalk so very accessible for all. Good mobile bar serves freshly made salads, selection of rolls and good variety of drinks including draught beer. Friendly efficient staff and you can pay by card. Windsurfers etc available if thats your thing. 10/10Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 21, 2023

Beautiful sandy rocks above the beach. You can take beautiful photos and even watch the sunset.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten September 27, 2023

Travelled over from the other side of the island to visit this beach as it sounded idyllic... Found it to be completely the opposite. Very long expansive stretch of sand but lacking in charm... Beds crammed into the central section, cafe behind, horrible eyesore of an inflatable water park in the sea. Just all a bit tacky really. The far end did seem nicer with less people and commercialism and the windsurfers looked like they were in their element.
We left after an hour or so although that's partly due to the high winds blowing sand in our faces... Quite a few others seemed to do the same. Not my kind of beach but each to their own I guess.

This beach appears tobe in a Nature Reserve. The are no houses or hotels adjoining, just Sand dunes.
The beach is sandy. and the water is clean and fairly shallow. There is a carpark directly adjoining and the facilities are on the part of the beach nearby. There are 3 businesses providing sunbeds and unbrellas at reasonable cost. There is a simple café and very basic lavatories.
Beyond this the beach stretches as far as the eye can see in either direction - good for relaxing sunbathing and walking.
Simple and unspoilt.

We went around 4pm on a Friday when it was clearing out so we had a lot of space on the beach. We hired sun Beds and an umbrella for five euros. It’s a big beach and we drove there and parked nearby. A lot of people on it as there’s a big hotel nearby but the water is crystal clear and Sandy beaches. Really nice.

What a gem! Issos Beach has a free car park, a beach cafe/bar, sun loungers and umbrellas, water-sport hire...and then a short walk to the right (North) is a massive stretch of fine sandy beach which you can enjoy naked with plenty of space around you and no weird people. The sea water is warm and shallow.
Gimme a beer...this is heaven.

This is a nice, long beach, a fair way from the town. It has to be said that it's all a bit grubby. There's a lot of rubbish everywhere; some has been washed up, and some has been left by visitors. It has an abandoned feel to it. Further north you may just spy a nut-brown man hiding in the bushes "pleasuring himself". Yes, they are around. Stay close to the beach bar in the south and you should be OK.

It takes 10/15 minutes by car or scooter from Benitses to Issos.
It's worth going there.

Czy do plaży jest dostęp od strony Ag. Georgios skrótem nad wodą czy trzeba obejść dookoła tereny hotelowe?

How do the beach chairs and covered areas work? Does it cost money to get a chair or covered area or is it first come first served? Thanks.
