This was a great club in the late 80's, 90's & early 2000's it was always busy upstairs and down full to the rafters had some of our best nights there. It all changed the last few times I went very few people there don't no what happened. I put it down to the whole gay scene changing like London everywhere has closed and Ibiza becoming very expensive and maybe cheaper places for people to go. I was very lucky to experience Ibiza through the years along with thousands of others, It's changed but I will always go there.…

So it is goodbye to the anfora. I have such fond memories of this place, often arriving direct from the airport, leaving my bag with Gina at the cenit hotel (and that hotel's best days are also over too after my last visit there in sept 2016) and heading straight to the anfora. I won't forget the anfora and even though I had no idea it was to close at that time, i did have a sinking feeling that I might not return there. My recent visit to the old town and figuretes in sept 2016, has made me realise that this part of town is no longer the same now. Adios Anfora.…

No matter what one thought of this place, an important part of Ibiza's gay nightlife has been resigned to history! This shocking turn of events was the result of the near-derelict building opposite, being transformed into luxury apartments & the owners clubbing together to buy the club & close it because of late-night noise & disruption. Well, whatever, yet another change in Ibiza for the worst! Thankfully, all is not lost as the proprietors of Mona Lisa have reopened 'Lola's' to the accompiament of dancing in the streets! So this is where we can go with no entrance charge & drinks at normal prices! GOODBYE ANFORA! We loved you, hated you, but you will never be forgotten!…
