I used to go there frequently and stopped for a couple of years. There is a new owner, since how long I do not know. On January 27 I bought four teas : some Keemun, some Great Szechuan, some Darjeeling First Blush and some Lapsang Souchon. Once water was added, the Lapsang was OK - not great but OK - the other three were tasteless, although they smelled nicely. You could smell the Keemun and the other two, only to taste water when you drank the blend. The conclusion is unavoidable : either the owner takes his clients for a ride by masking some tasteless teas with an attractive smell, or he does not check the quality of all the products he gets from his supplier. This is a lovely little Tea Shop that was recommended to us by some locals that ran the a gorgeous Chocolate Shop down the road. The staff are wonderful, patient, generous and helpful. I bought 4 Red Fruits (Fruits Rouge.....pardon my terrible french) that is just divine. They also have a heap of single tea bag packets (completely sealed for travel) that you can buy to try a whole heap of the different teas they offer or samples for friends. I suggest that if you get a chance to check out Carouge in Geneva, this is a great place to find a unique souvenir for yourself or others.…
