While docked in Split during a cruise of Croatia and Italy we decided to visit the lovely island of Solta, a easy 45 minute ferry ride from Split (30 min. return via catamaran) Ahead of the trip, owner Frane was very prompt in answering questions and he offered a lot of help with ferry/catamaran transport to the island. After being picked up at the ferry dock we were taken on a tour of the olive groves and then went to the production facility where we had a tasting of all of the oils. Afterward, a delicious lunch of cheese & charcuterie, risotto and dessert was prepared for us by owner Frane’s son Marko. We were very happy with our choice to spend the day with such charming hosts!

We dropped in for olive oil tasting. Noone else there. Took two men a few.minytes to decide who should do the "tour". The tour was basically a talk on olive oil production and then bread set out for us. I asked to taste the jams. It seemed like we interrupted their day. We bought oil and left. Disappointed that they smoke cigarettes inside and it was strong in tbe tasting room.

Yes, we admit we are not perfect. However, to be clear, you did not book or pay for any tours, but entered our store during business hours. You could taste all the products for free, which you did. You were not conditioned on any product purchase. You also received a free brief explanation of the process. All our services are explained in detail on our website. Any tour, including a tasting tour, must be arranged in advance. As for the smell of cigarettes, smoking is not allowed, no comments ..... Travel is fun and a great way to meet other people and different cultures. Traveling also teaches us to respect others in communication as well as in personal relationships. Next time if you plan to contact us 5 times to send you a quote for a bike rental and a payment link, if you give up, at least say: thank you. ! Anyway, thank you for your review!

My husband and I enjoyed a scheduled tasting and lunch platter that was absolutely amazing! The family that owns and operates the olive oil farm was so welcoming and hospitable, Frane and Marco made our experience incredible! I reserved a 4pm tasting for 2 people the day before and I would highly recommend making a special trip here during a multi-day trip to Solta! We enjoyed a generous platter of cheese, prosciutto, bread, olive oils, and chocolate ice cream. All the food was carefully and beautifully presented. We selected a bottle of wine from their collection and enjoyed that during the tasting too! This experience was a highlight of this day in Solta!

We are a family of 5 (kids aged 9-14). Had a really good visit here, had the one hour lesson on Olive Oil production followed by the Tasting menu. Food was really excellent, not just the oils and jams but also the meat/cheese/bread, etc. This is a real family run business and the host was extremely hospitable, and very fair and flexible in giving us a family price for the group. Can strongly recommend. Was nice to go around lunchtime as it's indoors and we avoided some of the mid-day heat for a couple of hours.

This was a great experience. We were shown round the mill and learnt lots about olive oil production. The tasting was great, and we got the chance to experience a huge range of different olive oils, as well as be taught how to taste correctly! The mill is run by the same people who run the discover šolta bike rental, and the hospitality and service was fantastic. We were picked up at Rogac, taken to the mill and given our bikes, everything we needed and given some suggestions. Cycling around šolta was a wonderful experience, and the guys were even flexible with our starting time for the mill so we could spend more time enjoying the island. A great experience and would recommend it to anyone.
