Very nice tour with a very personal touch. Done by the owner himself who took a hour to walk us through the process of olive oil production. Even our dog was welcome. We also had a great tasting and really enjoyed it.

My wife and I had a really good time in this family owned business.
We took the olive oil taste, trying different flavors for a very affordable price. We got to learn a lot regarding the olive oil production.

Totally recommend it.

Come on, don't be too excited as if you have never seen an olive mill elsewhere. If you live in Mediterranean regions, this kind of structure surely exists. If you are in Solta, it's good to visit Olynthia Natura. It's interesting to know how life has been organised in an olive grove. It's also interesting to learn when and how men collect olives and produce olive oil. As for the rest, let's come back to reality: 1. how many kilograms of olives an olive tree produces? 2. how many olive trees Olynthia Natura processes? (Then men can see how many kilograms of olives they collect yearly). 3. How many kilograms men need to obtain one litre of olive oil? (Seems that it varies from 7/1 to 10/1, I am not specialist but those who work independently with these institutions may give you a satisfied response). 4. In case Olynthia Natura says "their" oil is made not only from their own olive grove, we can generously include all olive trees in Solta to have an approximate amount of litres of oil. 5. Double - check with the amounts of empty bottles of all sizes purchased by Olynthia Natura to put olive oil in .... then we can see if their olive oil comes ONLY from Solta ..... we were there in 2014 to buy some olive oil bottles for gifts and we found that the prices were extravagant .... we didn't participate in any tours .. we were just in time to see how olives were collected and brought by villagers to the mill to obtain oil.

We are a family of 5 (kids aged 9-14). Had a really good visit here, had the one hour lesson on Olive Oil production followed by the Tasting menu. Food was really excellent, not just the oils and jams but also the meat/cheese/bread, etc. This is a real family run business and the host was extremely hospitable, and very fair and flexible in giving us a family price for the group. Can strongly recommend. Was nice to go around lunchtime as it's indoors and we avoided some of the mid-day heat for a couple of hours.

My grown daughter and I took the Olynthia Olive Oil tour in summer of 2017. It was wonderful--the best thing we did in beautiful Croatia. Frane and his son Marko run the family business and conducted our tour which, on this day, included only them and the two of us. Marko picked us up in a Jeep where the ferry from Split spilled us onto Solta Island and took us to the small, charming Olynthia processing facility where Frane replaced him at the wheel and drove us into a nearby olive grove that has been in their family for three generations. He was a friendly, informative, interesting guide as we traipsed among the trees. After half an hour or so in the grove, we returned to the gleaming, modern processing room to learn how olive oil is pressed from the fruit, then we were seated in the lovely tasting room and given a dozen or so oils infused with various herbs and a platter of bread for dipping. A generous cheese and fig plate appeared. We were told to take our time but not to fill up: Marko was making us lunch. Frane filled our glasses with a good, red, local wine, then wandered in an out, full of information but also considerately leaving us alone for intervals so we could enjoy the food and talk. Finally, Marko brought us plates of delicious risotto he'd made from scratch and fresh green salads. Maddie and I each bought three tins of olive oil and would have gladly purchased more but for the weight we knew they would add to our luggage. Eventually, we got back into the jeep and Marko gave us a tour of the island on the way back to the ferry terminal. We had a marvelous day on Solta Island and highly recommend this tour!

Frane was our tour guide for the trip to Solta and the last attraction was his olive oil tour. Seeing the machinery for olive pressing is fascinating. We tasted the two unflavoured oils, one quite peppery and green, the other much sweeter. There are also a variety of flavoured oils: fennel, orange (try this with ice cream!), rosemary, thyme, lemon...

Having a private tour of an olive grove with the owner was an exceptional experience but was so much more. Frane who picked us up did not just explain about olives and olive oil but about the island, the economy, the herbs, anything we asked. His son Marko was already cooking lunch when we had forgotten to mention a gluten intolerance. No problem, the pasta was replaced with a risotto whipped up at the last minute. The risotto was the best I have had in Croatia. Marko then drove us to the far end of the island where we walked around a picturesque village for 30 minutes or so then drove us back to the ferry where we found a rocky beach and had a lovely swim. A day in paradise!
I found myself comparing the day to a show you would see on the food network but instead of the host of the show being shown this beautiful paradise it was me. Of our 10 days in Croatia this was the best and that is saying a lot because it is a beautiful place.
My only hint: bring water shoes to Croatia and to the island. I did not know about the sea urchins and had to be very careful.

I really enjoyed my "olive oil tour" with Olynthia. They are so passionate about the quality of their olive oil and the truly organic method of production. The views from the olive groves were a real bonus and Solta, the island, is just a very short ferry ride from Split but so beautifully unspoilt. We got to learn all about the olives, the processing, the different end products and some fascinating local history. And the tasting was amazing - the different olives produce very different flavours and since tasting Olynthia's olive oil, others have never tasted quite as good as they used to!

My husband and I enjoyed a scheduled tasting and lunch platter that was absolutely amazing! The family that owns and operates the olive oil farm was so welcoming and hospitable, Frane and Marco made our experience incredible! I reserved a 4pm tasting for 2 people the day before and I would highly recommend making a special trip here during a multi-day trip to Solta!
We enjoyed a generous platter of cheese, prosciutto, bread, olive oils, and chocolate ice cream. All the food was carefully and beautifully presented. We selected a bottle of wine from their collection and enjoyed that during the tasting too! This experience was a highlight of this day in Solta!

Super friendly family run olive farm. You get the full experience of the production and sampling of their various olive oils. We enjoyed spending time with Frane and his son. Highly recommend visiting them if you are in Split.
