It's rather mediocre church, with some tiny pseudo-cave behind it and a closed-off park. There's a way down to the lake-side, views are nice, but you can get them anywhere else. Road to reach it is a poor quality stone.

the Abbazia is very peaceful, there is a little shop selling some very tasty teas an the view is beautiful it isn't a must see, but it is a good place if you want some peace and quiet and you have a spare hour.

We walked to the church from Olgiasca in the morning and it was a very nice, peaceful hike. The church and the surrounding grounds are very beautiful and the setting on the lake is amazing. Some old frescos are very cool. Very peaceful visit.

We were spending a day driving around Lake Como. We had read about the Abbey in a guidebook and decided to pay a visit. The drive to the Abby through a small village and along a cobbled road was very picturesque and when we arrived at the Abby car park around 13 00 we were surprised to see it virtually empty meaning that we had the place virtually to ourselves. The trip is worth it for the location alone with views across the lake to the mountains beyond. But factor in the historic abbey with its medieval cloisters and sense of spirituality this raises the bar to a whole new level. The site is not very large, but is worthy of exploration and if you chose you can buy honey or limoncello made at the Abbey itself. Please be aware that visitors are expected to dress modestly and respect the sanctity of the chapel. We found an oasis of peace in a busy tourist area.…
