A quick ride up the mountain from Argegno to Pigra is worth it for the spectacular views and for exploring the mountain top.

We watched the cable car all week long from our villa and finally decided to give it a whirl. Do not go if afraid of heights. To our surprise there was a whole village (Pigra) at the top of the mountain. We had no idea...More

Sum total of this visit was a distinct lack of any interest in making this an enjoyable experience for their visitors. The toilets were out of order at the bottom of the cable car and we were told by the rather surly attendant that the...More

On reaching the top we were greeted by the 'only English speaking Italian' in the village. He was located at the first cafe and he couldn't do enough to assist us. We had a toasted cheese and ham sandwhich and a coffee. He even offered...More
