Really slick outfit. Car parking available. Friendly and helpful staff who all spoke great English (because I’m embarrassed that I can’t speak Italian). Clear and simple process to hire. Training and guidance really straight forward. Sensible price. What a way to spend 4 hours on Lake Garda. Would highly recommend.

We did a short trip so lake garda and knew we would like to rent a boat. We found Nautica Benaco in the internet and we were impressed about the variety of boats they have. The staff is very friendly and professional and gave us a good introduction of or boat. We rented a small one for which you don't need a license but for 2 days, so we nearly spent our vacation on the boat. Lake Garda has a lot to discover by boat. I can highly recommend this place for renting a boat to make more of your vacation experience.

We’ve been renting boats from Nautica Benaco for many years now and will hopefully continue to do so for many years to come. All Nautica Benaco rental boats are renewed regularly, most every one or two years, so you can be confident of renting a spotlessly clean, nearly new, and very reliable craft. Being a family owned company, the owners get to know their customers so you’ll receive a genuinely warm welcome, friendly service and all the support / advice you require. Although they don’t have many UK customers (we may have been their first), one of the owners and some of the staff speak perfect English, so you’ll have no problems booking. When renting a boat to cruise a lake as large, deep and stunningly beautiful as Lake Garda, its essential that you have a totally reliable craft and excellent on-shore support – you can be confident of getting all that and more from Nautica Benaco …. and at a very competitive price. Highly recommended

Avoid this company like the plague
Having been recommended by my hotel to book a boat hire on the lake my wife and I were excited for the experience
Our hotel rang this company to help me make a booking for a half day boat tour the day before
When speaking on the phone I was advised all I needed to do was turn up at their offices at 930 with my ID and was not asked for a deposit
On arrival a nice young girl greeted us but had concerns over the strong wind but still drive us to the harbour to complete our booking process
When we got there a most unpleasant lady half acknowledged us as she was dealing with other customers so I was more than happy to wait until she was free
When she was free her attitude towards my wife and myself was appalling
She told us that it was unlikely we could hire a boat because of the weather which I fully appreciated and had no issue as clearly it was unsafe
However I felt her whole body language was aggressive and she talked down to us as we had only booked half a day not a full day (suggesting a bigger booking was more important to her )so we needed to try another day but she kept repeating but you have only booked half a day
The breaking point came when I told her we had just paid a £30 taxi fare to get there and asked why no one called us before hand to stop us coming
Her answer was an example of the worst customer service I have experienced around the world -' we only have your name no number and you have not paid a deposit so it's not our fault '
Well actually your company took the call from my hotel with my name for the booking
At that point I suggested we did not carry on with a firm booking for another day (unknown to her I was thinking of rebooking for a full day )-and said that did not deserve my money -she replied we don't want it anyway !!!!
To the owners of this company give this lady a 5 star badge for the worst customer service
Good luck if she continues to represent you and alienate future customers with her obnoxious attitude and poor customer service

We hired a Voyager 19 for the day. I didn't have much experience but it was very easy, with the staff taking us to the slipway and helping with the launch, and then picking us up at the end of the day.
We did a circuit of the lower half of the lake from Porto Torchio up to Portese, then across to Punta San Viglio, up towards Castelleto, back down to Punta San Viglio for lunch, then down around the southern shore.
The south eastern part of the lake is much calmer than the stretch between Portese and Punta San Viglio. I did somewhat doubt my sanity on that first stretch, as the southbound waves make it a bit choppy. Once we'd turned around at Torri Del Benaco the going was much smoother, and we were able to use all the performance of the boat without discomfort.
It can be tricky/intimidating to find a guest buoy to moor at, so we ended up stopping for lunch at Punta San Viglio where there is a sort of valet service which collects you from your anchored boat. We felt obliged to use the cafe/bar outside which doesn't have great choices for kids but there is a proper restaurant inside the gate which seems to be run by the same company.
Although only the smallest boats are available without a licence, the performance was more than enough. These Voyagers are not slow! There are no extra charges apart from the fuel which cost €47 for the half-tank we used - bring cash for that.
The kids (ages 8 and 9) had an amazing time, enjoying the speed of the boat and jumping off and swimming around when we were moored at various points around the lake.
This was by far the most fun we had at Lake Garda, a great way to get away from the crowds at the busiest time of year.

Staff were pleasant and efficient.
Boats were clean and well maintained.
Free parking available, via shuttle bus from Nautical Benaco yard to waterfront. Only a couple of minutes drive.

If you are thinking of hiring a boat on Lake Garda then I can thoroughly recommend Nautica Benaco. They combine a very friendly flexible service with a high level of professionalism, and great boats. We rented a Bayliner 185 for the day. The boat was stored at their yard and was in superb condition. Everything on the boat was explained there in good English, as well as the best places to visit - and then you and the boat are taken down to the marina, where you are launched. We arrived at the yard at 9am and were on the water before 9.30am. If you rent for a single day they ask that you return by 6pm. The boat was superb, and it proved to be one of the most enjoyable days of our stay. I only wish I could have rented it for longer - but time was against us.
When we next come back to the lake I will definitely be seeing them again!

We are regular visitors to Lake Garda and for the past 15 years or so have rented a power boat to make the most of our holiday.
We started renting from Nautica Benaco, a local family owned company, about five years ago and they have always been great to deal with. The boats they rent out are in first class condition, spotlessly clean, with most being less than a couple of years old. All have superb engines and GPS installed so that should you have any problems while out on the lake, one phone call to Nautica Benaco can bring rapid assistance to you.
Most customers seem to be Italian and German but perfect English is also spoken and you can always be assured of excellent service. Rental payment can be made by cash or credit card and their rental rates are highly competitive for the quality of boat provided.
We rent a 40HP boat as they can be rented without a licence - an international licence is required for anything larger. We have found the 40HP boats to be more than adequate, very comfortable, economical and with a fair turn of speed should you need it.
Partially shaded (under olive trees) parking spaces are available at the boat yard should you require it e.g. if renting just for a half day or day.
Thoroughly recommended.

We hired a "no license" boat for 4 hours. Managed to see most of the lower half go the lake towns, plus time for a couple swims from the back of the boat. Staff had excellent suggestions for itinerary for the time we had.

A highly efficient family run boatyard where you can rent robust, comfortable and extremely safe boats with engines from 40HP upwards, all at competitive prices. We’ve been using Nautica Benaco boats for many years now and their boats are always in pristine condition as most are renewed annually. All boats have GPS installed just in case clients experience any unexpected difficulties out on the lake. English spoken by several staff, and credit cards accepted. Highly recommended.

hi!
I'm coming to Italy next week and will be staying at lake Como for a week.
I will have a car to drive to different locations and was thinking of spending a day at lake Garda.
I don't have a license to drive a boat, but would very much love to get a boat (maybe without license) and sail in the lake.
could you please tell me if I should make any preparations ahead of time or is it OK if I book when I arrive?
also i want to know the cost of such activity.

You don't neen any particular preparations for renting a boat.
It's enough a call the day before to confirm it and that you'll have with yourself a personal document and a Visa or Mastercard credit card (not debit!).
