Villa Bettoni is worth a visit. Entering the garden it is possible to explore also the internal halls of the historical palace with it`s original furnishing and the art collection. The Counts Bettoni -an ancient Garda family- are still living there and they own it since the 17th century. Located directly on the shore of the lake it is a pleasure to enjoy the special atmosphere of that place.

Comprehensive guided tour of the Villa for more than an hour, offering access to both house and gardens. Lots to see and hear about this very connected old family, with links to Venice, Genoa and the Holy Roman Empire. Must be booked online ahead, and the villa door is open only immediately before the tour time. A departing glass of water is offered but there are no visitors' facilities.

The tour was friendly and informal but very informative and interesting. The lakeside views are spectacular and the interior well preserved. You must book online and there is no visiters parking but some spaces by the side of the road .

It worth the stop: the palace belongs to the ancient family of Count Bettoni ; built in '700 from the ancestors of the actual Owner , countess Maria Teresa Bettoni, is viewable from the Bogliaco port ( from the lake) inner garden and front palace and from the main road going to Gargnano the Italian garden.
The Italian garden was restored about 40 years ago in occasion of filming a movie and they left the lighting on the garden after filming.
Particularly impressive at night.
The visit to the palace is not admitted ( private home!)

We had a delightful and very informative guided tour of this splendid old house and gardens with it's spectacular views over Lake Garda. Only found out about it because of Tripadvisor and only found it because of Google Maps . Needs better sugbage and visitor parking.

Booked tour online (you can't just turn up). Young woman who lead the tour was excellent, friendly and knowledgeable. The history of the house is very interesting, personally I would have liked a bit more on the history during the second world war and a little less on C17/18, but all the same it was v good. You have to walk alongside a busy road to access the house, perhaps a better way would be if they picked up visitors in a more accessible and safe place. The tour is not advertised much, it may be worth considering more promotion locally (?). All that said, a very interesting and enjoyable afternoon.

Discovered by chance, leafing through one of those guides sold in souvenir shops, we booked a visit to this beautiful palace in Gargnano on Lake Garda. The villa stands directly on the lake. The real facade is the one on the lake and not the one on the street where you enter. The guided tour, led directly by a young member of the family, was really interesting. All the rooms visited were splendid and the well-kept gardens were equally beautiful. The stories and curiosities that were offered to us were excellent and interesting. For me it is definitely an unmissable stop if you are on Garda. Booking essential.

Beautiful discovery in Gargnano. Beautiful villa overlooking the lake, very knowledgeable guide, internal rooms with 18th century furnishings, welcome tasting at the end of the visit with the possibility of purchasing oil. Super recommended
