Haining museum is located in modern building, from outside looks pretty big and so we were afraid we will not have enough time for visit because we arrived just 1.5 hours before closing. But actually inside is not so much to see. First floor is dedicated to Japanese aggression in China before and during World War 2. Unfortunately, everything is in Chinese only on this floor so we just viewed a pictures. On the 2nd floor is presentation of "Lantern culture": there are many beautiful lanterns in different size, colour and shapes. Underground floor was the best. There is exposition of pottery, jade and crystal jewellery and ceramics from neolithic age until the last dynasty of China which were found in or around Haining. Some religious objects were excavated from underground of Zhibiao Pagoda which stands on DongShan (Eastern hill) of Haining.
