Another excellent museum. Many video clips with real people telling real stories, even Eisenhower, make everything here so credible. If anything, there is just too much to see and it is difficult to find a way that seems a logical route to go through without...More

Part of the 'Normandie pass' group of museums, i stopped here to find quite a limited display. The name confused me at first, 'gold beach-America? gold was a British section?' Turns out that half the museum was dedicated to attempts to fly across the Atlantic,...More

There were few Americans in this sector, and this museum tells the story of those few. It isn't the largest, but it has some lovely artifacts, and tells the stories of both D-Day and the overall Operation Overlord.

More interested in the history of the Normandy landings than of Captain Bird's transatlantic flight, the latter was nevertheless engaging and informative. The real gem for us however was the exhibition about D-Day and the planning that led up to it. We lost track of...More

Located only 12 mins drive from Arromanches-les-Bains, this very smart & compact museum is most definitely worth a visit. The museum covers 2 topics of interest - firstly the 'America' museum documents aviation pioneers of the North Atlantic route, in particular, the first official airmail...More

I wasn't too sure what to expect at this small museum. The main exhibit is about the crash-landing of a plane, 'America', just off the coast, and the subsequent events. This is interesting not only of the tales of early trans-Atlantic flights, but also the...More

This is a private museum that does not offer a lot. The diary as are really up informative and there is little to recommend this space in an area so rich in good museums.
