Shopping as it should be

In the beautiful setting of an old chapel, this delightful, eclectic collection of small “shops” is a pure delight. The range of goods should suit most tastes. Feel free to look at wares without feeling pressured into buying anything or disappointing the stall holders.
The stained glass windows are carefully on show amongst the items on display.

A haven of calm and precious things - not just for local people!

A beautiful place to browse - and buy - a range of crafts, gifts, furniture and more. It has lots of individual units showcasing work by local jewellers, artists, recycled and upcycled goods - you are truly spoilt for choice!

Full of beautiful surprises

I love this place! Such a great idea to have individual units selling local crafts, antiques and up cycled furniture under one roof. The quality items on display on each stall is very high and I have bought so many beautiful things here both for my home and as gifts. The pricing is very fair and it’s lovely just to find something different. Their stock is always changing so you can literally visit every week and find something new.

A great find!

Stumbled upon The Emporium and so glad we did. I adore shops like this. Lots of wonderful curios and hand crafted goods under one roof, so much talent and creativity to admire, and buy. Three floors, a great way to spend some time. Very friendly staff too. Will definitely go back when next in the area.

A treasure trove of goodies

We had a lovely look around the Emporium yesterday. Found a great card and fabulously different birthday gift within minutes.
There are some amazing quirky clever pieces in this haven that I could possibly find a place for in my home ten times over!
I lived in Wellington as a child and the building used to be the old Sale Rooms. It was empty, dusty and neglected for years, until Cato and her husband saw the potential in this two story structure with its original stained glass windows. Well done on bringing a lovely shopping experience to a small Somerset town.
Now living miles and miles away, I always try to visit The Emporium when I’m in the Shire!

Lovely

We visited The Emporium recently while on a trip to Devon/Somerset as it was the highest rated thing to do on Trip Advisor in Wellington which was very close to where we were staying.
The lady who was working in The Emporium (sorry, I didn’t get her name) was absolutely lovely, she was engaging with customers and had a really friendly demeanour.
The Emporium is laid out very cleverly, showcasing around 50 different independent businesses in a journey around the store.
My partner and I each found something unique to take home, him something for himself, and me a Christmas gift.
The Emporium is well worth a visit if you’re in the area.
