Poor value, poor service
Oct 2021 • Family
I visited with my wife and 2 girls (8 and 1). I was surprised that we had to pay full price for my 1 year old. A total of around £44 seemed fairly expensive for an hour session.

Once we began our session, it was disappointing to see that not everything was operational. There were no balls in the basketball section and the 'window drop' inside the inflatable area was closed. There were also sections missing from the obstacle course.

Extortionate prices and poor service from people that show no real interest or enthusiasm in the experience that their customers are having mean that we will not return.

Amazing place for kids to burn energy off and my god they do that do that.

Staff nice and friendly.

Downsides the accoustics in the place are truly aweful! Coupled with covid face masks it's basically impossible to talk in the cafe area.

The cafe area is best avoided. The coffee has the impression of coming from a machine and being fresh but is actually undrinkable.

Fun for all the family.

I entered a competition on Facebook back near Christmas in which I won tickets to flip out for my family. After the lifting of the restrictions we finally got to visit.

I have been once before with my boyfriend and since having children we have always wanted fo bring them, our daughter is now two which I felt was a good age to come. We had the best time and they absolutely loved the different play areas. The safety of not having older children bouncing in the toddler area was perfect for our little girl and our son loved the basket ball hoops (although there could do with being some more balls). The softplay is a great added extra.

The only reason for 4 out of 5 stars is because we felt very watched. The minute my daughter entered the older area we felt as if we were in trouble, being shouted at from across the trampolines is quite embarrassing. I was then ‘told off’ for holding my daughter in my arms and bouncing, she was tired by this point and I was bouncing minimally whilst clearly supporting her head and neck as I do understand it could be dangerous.

The food was adequate and most of the staff were pleasant.

We will definitely return!

Absolutely shocking no cleaning down on the equipment the floor is all sticky took so long to actually get into the arena was very overcrowded the queue for food and drinks was beyond ridiculous some of the staff are very arrogant and rude I wouldn’t waste your money on this dive I certainly won’t be coming back nor will I be recommending friends or family to attend if you want a decent trampoline park would 1000% recommend Ibounce I had heard such good things about FlipOut but was very very very disappointed certainly won’t be coming back.

Wouldn’t waste your money!
Aug 2021 • Friends
Well what a waste of money! We paid for the all inclusive for three participants, one was unable to attend, so I asked if there was anyway to get the money back and I was told there wasn’t. Ah well the money has been spent and gone, so we moved on. Luckily our package included pre ordered food, as the cafe was not serving any hot food unless you’d booked in advance. The cafe was really really under staffed, and there seemed to be large catering equipment all over the place in boxes. People were dotted everywhere not knowing where to stand to queue, order and collect. They did say that there were crisps and confectionary to buy, but you couldn’t see what was on offer, as it was all stowed away in the back kitchen.
The place was packed. There was no Covid guidelines being followed anywhere and to be honest there were far too many people allowed in. Also for the price your paying - you now need to pay extra for an adult to sit and watch? The prices are already extortionate without this added cost. The court Marshall’s now stand on top the wall equipment staring down at the users of the trampoline - which I find a bit intimidating! There is no music anymore, and some of the equipment is still closed. We’ve been here several times before but it seems with each visit, it gets worse and worse. I think we’ll be making the trip to Barnstaple to use another brand of trampoline park.

Great service
Jun 2021
At a time where no one seems to be able to provide a general standard of customer service, I was very impressed with the service we received from Flip Out on Saturday.
I did feel uneasy when we first arrived as it was very busy, we were asked to wait by the cafe for the session before to finish. When the session finished, no one seemed to leave and it was full - not a table to spare for the next session booked.
However, I was there with my son and a couple of his friends for his birthday, a staff member approached asking if we were there for a birthday and if we wanted a birthday shout out - my son loved it when he heard his name!
We were also offered use of one of the party rooms as there were no tables free and the staff member helped carry the kids shoes/bags. We could not see a name badge which is such a shame as she was so very friendly and helpful!

I would suggest visiting at the end of the day when it is quieter. I had booked a 2hr slot 3pm to 5pm, at 3pm it was extremely busy, however by 4pm, the numbers had dropped by at least half if not more!

Thank you Flip Out!

COVID safe ?
Oct 2020 • Family
Visited for 2 hours with my 2 kids. They had a great time (which was the aim), however, I had an uneasy feeling throughout.

Prior to the visit all the CV safety rules are explained on their website but once inside you would notice very little difference from previous visits. I have been to other venues who have been more successful in implementing Covid measures.

There needs to be a gap between one session finishing and one starting as there are twice as many people at the session change over or it needs to be controlled by a form of flow system (which looks like it could be easily achieved).

There were several groups of families (in excess of 6 people) all congregated together - I’m not sure you should be allowed to move chairs to different tables to allow a group of more than 6 people to meet.

As an adult you have to pay £1 to spectate to “control the numbers in the cafe”. Obviously as a single adult with 2 kids you cannot leave them in there so I question whether it is a control measure at all. Even if it is a control measure it doesn’t work as the cafe is rammed with people struggling to find a seat (resulting in them all congregating in a small area).

As a result of the busy cafe there was over a 30 minute wait for a coffee using the QR system. It also feels under-staffed as the staff seemed to be working hard and doing their best.

I do think some supervisors might be useful to enforce Flip Out’s own rules though as even the some of the measures Flip Out have implemented on paper make sense they certainly weren’t being followed.

Overall your kids will love it which is the whole point, however, you do get the feeling that the profit V safety balance is being tipped in the favour of profit (which maybe necessary to continue the business) and that although an attempt has been made to implement some safety processes these were being largely ignored by the majority or the customers.

Rainy day fun?
Oct 2020 • Family
Visited for a 2 hour bounce. What a COVID nightmare! The previous customers had not been cleared out so there was well over 100 people all stuck in the tiny cafe area. People using the narrow staircase at the same time. The staff literally couldn't clean the tables quickly enough to keep it covid safe. None of the equipment was cleaned between sessions because there was no gap between sessions to do so. Very few sanitizing stations available.
This is an expensive couple of hours to feel very anxious throughout. Never again!
