Walking near the Embalses de Guadalhorce the "Casa de Ingeniero" is a small cottage that overlooks the lake.
From a certain point of view it is possible to admire the house and all the beautiful naturalistic surrounding offered by the lake.
Very beautiful and evocative, it is definitely one the most interesting spot to visit here in this superb place.

When you go to the Ardales lakes, you can see the Casa del Ingeniero across the lake. It is a very pretty sight to see.

The Casa del Ingeniero is exactly what is states "The House of the Engineer". Actually better known as the Casa del Conde. It's a beautiful peaceful site but I'm afraid closed to the public and can only be viewed from a cross the reservoir. However what you can see and do on the side your looking from is to sit in the Kings Chair.. King Alfonso VIII sat in the stone chair when he signed the completion of the construction of the Conde Dr Guadalhorce reservoir that you are stood on. Go to the viewing platform at the top of the hill behind, the views of the area is fantastic. You can hike if You are fit enough or you can get to it by car by turning left just after the tunnel over the road or right just before it. Winding track for about 1. 5km. Enjoy.

Gorgeous place but stamina needed...you'll marvel at the engineering and when it all gets too much you can sit in the Kings Chair and take the weight off. A beautiful place to walk around where there is a breathtaking view from every angle. Make sure your camera is ready!
