Very disappoiting experience. Mosf of the trail was closed due to last week's bad weather. Ridiculous to charge €6 for like a 15mins walk in the botanical gardens. We weren't even able to get down to the river/ the bottom of the gorge. Total rip off though unsure what the normal price is...🙄

The site can be accessed by a public entrance "accesso comunale" 150 mts away from the main parking and stairs. With the 9 euros ticket you pay for an ugly concrete structure containing the elevator.... an elevator here!? what a shame! and for a private walk of no great interest ( we have heard). A nice to do stop along the road for a refreshing splush into the chilly river waters. Would not come in the area just for this. Have fun!

Gole Alcantara are really cool, but DO NOT do the 30€ trekking tour, it does not worth the money! You do the same things you can do by yourself, but just with a fisherman suit (it's just an expensive tourist trap).
Don't even think about the 12€ entry ticket! Public ticket is 1,50 €.

Awesome for nature lovers, there is also a guided tour that costs 10 euros (additional cost next to the 10 euros entrance fee) and you get a suit and boots so you can cross the water and see the entire gorge. The beach is peaceful if you're lucky enough to not get there along with the tourist buses, so I suggest a morning visit.

Arriving to the park is fairly easy, but once you park your car (which is free), go out in the road same way you entered, walk to the LEFT about 150 meters, buy first ticket in another side if the road (biglietteria) for 1.5€ and then go down 224 steps to arrive at the cold, icy river. Mind that there is no lockers facility if you go by your self.
Water is really cold and there are small rapids to be past before getting further deep in the canyon.

Though we knew that you do not have to pay anything to see the gore, we still felt safer to join a guide. With the guide we could do a bit more but not too much because of the hired apparell. For free one could visit the botanical garden, the museum, the 4D 5 minute presentation, walk down the stairs/use the lift to the sandy beach, swim/trek the river. A self service restaurant is on site. Be warned of a rude, pain in the neck parker asking for a donation.

We went there this August and sicne we had a small child with us we really could not go on the adventureous tracks. The lifts available are very fast and there is very little waiting time involved. Once down there, one must simply enjoy it!

Very cold water. It hurts when you go in, but the place is so beautiful that it worth it. The most interesting part is st the river. You can walk around the park to see different trees and plants, but it is a bit boring. Definetly try the pistachio ice cream. It is the best here in whole Italy. I tried at 5-6 places, but here it was far the best!!!

We visited this park in April with small children. After entering, it seemed that the park is very poorly maintained (the 4 plastic dinosaurs were broken) and almost everything was closed. The kids were looking forward to the playground and the spraypark. Both were closed. The cliff and elevator were nice though, but we were imagining we could spend a few hours here and that was not really the case. Kids very disappointed and the lady at the cash registry just said that she never told us that the spraypark and the playground were open....

Is it easy to park there? Also is it still ok if you don’t plan to cross the river as have a baby?

Ciao a tutti!
