some relicts are still inside, the coffee is strong and superb. they do some lounge music inside and unfortunately dont tell a word about the jewish history. only souvenir available a coffee mug, not a single post card.

We stumbled across the synagogue while walking around the old town of Trnava but did not venture inside, being unsure of the protocols. There is a small memoriam in front of the synagogue, to the victims of the holocaust.

In 1891 he began to build the synagogue, designed by the architect Jakub Gentner. Work on the building was finished in 1897. The basilica was built in the Romantic-oriental style. And in 1986, the building suffered a massive fire. After the reconstruction in the 90's,...More

I was looking forward to visiting this synagogue and seeing the collection, but sadly it is under renovation. It was still worth walking by. It is a beautiful building with an interesting history described on the website.
