I enjoyed my visit to this fascinating area and learning about its history. Even in a pandemic the group was mid-sized, so I would imagine VERY busy in a normal summer. The tour of the caves was well done with great humour, usually only in Czech but Tomas was kind and said some things in English too (including the jokes!) . . . and I was given a written summary in English, returnable at the end. Some bending involved for a tall person, average fitness needed.

Cave is nice and close by car from Karlštejn castle. Entry fee is ok. Cave is long with many steps. Not suitable for disabled. Interior is nie but not equsite. Some stalactites are damaged. Staff crates groups from 30 and more people which is too many in my opinion. Worth to visit. Close to 9ther attractions in area. Entry fee 150 cz3ch crowns for adult.

Near Prague You can find a cave system, which is the largest in central Europe. Two parking areas (payed) are right by the road. A few steps away uphill is the checking counter and small local fast food with typical czech food like hot dogs, fried cheese etc. On weekends there are plenty of visitors, so we have had to wait 30 minutes for the excursion. Every group of visitors (about 20 people) leads the guide. The excursion takes about 60 minutes. You should take some sweather in, becsuse in the cave is all year long only 10 °C. After short time you will get cold. After visiting the cave You can buy some nice stony souvenirs in the shop. The visit is also suited for small children from cca 4 years old.

Close to Prague and easy to get to.
Lovely caves and not difficult to get around - steps not too hard.
Guides only spoke Czech but there was a printout available to borrow (50Kc refundable deposit) which gave all the essential details. Some people had young kids/babies who were bored & noisy - place isn't suitable for kids under about 7.
Surrounding area is nice - plenty of places to walk or cycle.

The cave is really huge and there are some interesting stalactites and stalagmites.....not great but interesting to see. The guides are very enthusiastic but do not speak English...you will only be given a printout to read. There are a lot of stairs up and down with a killer spiral stairs at the end.. .if you are with really young kids or have walking difficulties of health problems...I would think twice....it is pretty challenging

Konepruske Jeskyne are very beautiful caves located in Cesky Kras, in the Bohemian Region, in Txec Republic. They are the typical carstic caves, where you can see very beautiful forms of rocks, stalactites and stalagmites. Really, it is a very interesting visit, which you can do with babies without problems, so it is a familiar visit. In fact, in Central Europe there a re a lot of these typical caves. Very interesting visit some of them.

Usual prices were 175 KR, about $5.50, and if you wanted to take pictures, it was another 40KR. The local guides only speak Czech, and you need to go on a guided tour. Luckily, one person in our tour group spoke Czech, so he translated for us and it was a very informative tour. Its not a huge cave, but its well worth visiting. The views of the surrounding limestone quarry are awesome. Toilets are decent.

These caves are located near the city of Beroun. The caves are formed naturally due to water activities. The accessible part of caves really big, but the tour is only for 620 meters around and takes like 40 mins. The tickets cost like 130 Kc for adults.
The tour is only in Czech language, but I got a pamphlet which had English description. Also the guide was really helpful enough to explain few important things in English.
The caves are beautiful with naturally formed stalagmites and stalactites. The caves are formed millions of years ago, but re-discovered recently. There are displayed bones of the animals which fell/trapped into the caves There is also a minting place where in olden days, people used to mint coins illegally. This place now has some statues of people just to show how it was minted.

The caves have been around more than 2 million yrs. It is only past 60 yrs that people have to go there. Therefore there needs to be some kind of organized and controlled access. Nothing wrong with that, we are tourists visitors and we go places to learn about other things we don't have at home. Also nothing wrong that the organization charges an entry fee. Koněprusy Caves are safe and well maintained. However I could not believe that the guide who was giving us a pretty good tour did asked to pay him if we want to take pictures with our own camera. Must say that ladies in the box office nor anywhere else we did see a warning about it. And I did pay a small fee for that. But can't sleep since then how stupid I was. So if you go there and the guide asks you to buy your picture taking memories after you get inside the caves. Ask the guide for a receipt right there in the caves!
I mentioned it before, we tourists go places to learn and create memories for us and for others to show and talk about. Pictures are one way to achieve this. If money hungry organizations continue doing this they be standing alone front of their artifacts and attractions while tourists will sit safe and sound (and cheaper) front of their computers and looking pictures on whatever websites.

The cave is very well explored and prepared for tourists: the paths are conctere, there's lighting everywhere, so it's completely comfortable walk inside while on a visit. We were there with a small child of 3 years (without stroller) and at was interesting walk even for her.
The parking lot is quite close to the entrance, but you can choose to arrive by bus which shuttles from nearby Beroun train station.
It'd much recommend to walk around and look at surrounding of the hills in which the cave is located: the locality is very beautiful and paths are well marked.
