The cafe has a gorgeous art nouveau decor. Waiters appear to very busy and have little time to pause but they are promp. The atmosphere was exhilarting.
The pork schnitzel was one of the best but the Czeck beef and dumplings with cranberry sauce was not grea. We did not have room for the many cakes that are rolled past you in a trolley..
Rather expensive. Tip is expected but we did not leaveany because the service was just basic.

What a brilliant, beautiful cafe to stop & have Coffee & Cake after a walk around Prague when it is ver cold.
The staff are friendly & helpful & the chandeliers are magnificent.
The slices of cake are very large & very delicious.

Representative building from 1911, originally the Austro-Hungarian Bank, recently renovated and used for many purposes. You can find here the exhibition of the Opava city history as well as art exhibitions and various thematic exhibitions. Last time we visited an exhibition of table games where many children and their parents (and not only them) could play all the games in person. On the ground, there is among others the Hall of burgomasters (city mayors) where you see the painted portraits of burgomasters and city mayors of Opava from the 18th century to the present. Part of the exhibition space on the 1st floor is also the original vault room. Note its massive vault door! During the day you may visit the café in the ground which has also a beautiful terrace facing the park with a children's corner. The Art Club is located in the basement. It also runs a cinema screening.

Beautiful place that promised a lot and delivered rude, slow and miserable service and a very bland, stodgy Croque Monsieur. Visit to see the glorious interior but make sure to avoid eating here. Smiling not encouraged.

It was a fine building and the entrance was open, so I went in.
In the back, pass at a cafe. Upstairs.
Open a suitable door and it is a museum.
Please enter (80 kronor).
I don't remember there being many exhibits, but it seemed to relate to the place.
With this admission ticket, we were able to see the museum separately.
