Excellent clean beach with well organised car park. Capacity of the car park is monitored at the entrance.

Beach is quite crowded and you would have to walk quite a while to find a spot. If you go by bike, you can find quieter places.

Beach is a part of Marema National park. You can get there by bus or by car. Number of cars is limited so if the parking lot is full you need to wait at the gate. The beach is beautiful and clean. No pets, food, smoking. There is an area where you can eat or smoke. You can also rent a bike in Grosetto and get there without parking fee.

Note this is a park where there is limited car access and its worth just parking the car in the town of Alberese and then getting the bus to the beach for Eur 2. You also have option to hire a bike and ride to the beach through some country trails.

The beach is sandy and has a lot of drift wood that can be used to prop up a shade on a sunny day like we had. The water was nice and warm with the beach very child friendly as the sea was less than waist deep up to 100m out.

Also remember to take some provisions with you as there is nothing close by to buy food or drinks till you get back on the bus to the main town.

Not a lot of people and one may find a quiet place there, important - the sea and the beach were clean! No plastic bags or bottles swimming over (like we saw in other places). Thanks to the length of the beach one may have a nice walk along the beach that takes up to an hour one way. Be prepared to meet at some point a nudists spot. The beach is pretty wild and has no cafes, restaurants etc. you need to have all with you. Great that it has a parking right at the beginning of the beach: just few steps away

one of the best beaches I visited in this region. Though it is not only the beach, but also the way there. A street partly lined from great Pine treas and a when your are lucky you see some of the majestic Maremma Cows or Horses. This beach not only got the benefits of a natural beach but also is clean at the same time because as it is within a national Park. (during high saison I recommend to com early or to take the bus from Alberese, as there is only a limited amount of Cars allowed to enter)
If you want the full nature experience, book a tour with Enrico on his horse carriage (info at the National Park Information at the street to the Beach - right site before the first pines) . Like on a journey into the past he will drive you trough a part of the national park and drop you for a swim at one part of the peach were nearly nobody else will be. (He will offer after the tour a lunch at his hacienda - very recommended - "down to earth" good food from his own animals and garden) He just does speak a little English but it is worth to break the language barrier

Great place to enjoy the beach. Limited entry by camera number plate recognition. Very affordable, maximum Euro 6 a day. An endless beach with shaded huts made of drift wood. The further you walk the less the clothing gets. Great beach and privacy.

Unlike so many other beaches with sunbeds and parasols, this beach is set in the beautiful national park backed by pine woods.

The car park is very small so if full you might end up queuing while you wait for someone to leave (we came late morning on a Friday in September and had to queue for about 25 minutes). Unless you have lots to carry it is probably just as easy to go to the village of Albarese (not many reasons to go there though there is a well stocked little shop!) to park and catch the bus.

There is lots of wood on the beach which people have used to make shacks or to attach large beach sheets to make shade. You can buy one from the sellers on the beach or bring your own (lots of string is useful too). There's a busy shack to buy drinks and snacks but probably better to bring your own. Large number of toilets with outside running water.
