I completed my advanced open water with Klemens and had a private course! The instruction was professional, laid back and fun. The dive shop has great equipment and is much less busy and hectic than some of the other shops I checked out in Moalboal. Strongly recommend this shop!

We had a great time diving with Blue Abyss. From the moment we arrived they were very helpful and friendly. The diving staff was precessional and knowledgeable. The facilities were great, as was the equipment and boat. One of us was an open water diver and one advanced. They did a great job of allowing a mix of freedom and a watchful eye for the open water diver to build confidence and experience. The diving in Moalboal was incredible. Such an amazing place to dive (especially if you like turtles and coral). Wall diving is just so fun and relaxing and rewarding. And the sardines were a great time also. That’s to all of the staff and team, as we would highly recommend. Special shout out to our Dive Master Fred. He was the best. We loved diving with him and his overall personality just made our time that much better.

All seemed good! For about 5 minutes. I’m an advanced diver and have dived in many places so I know what to expect from a good dive operation. These people are clearly lacking!!! Nobody asked me for any proof of certification. They told me my equipment was ‘ over there’ none of it fitted right. Regulator didn’t work nicely at all in the water! Passable but old I thin I had to put all my gear together, nothing wrong with that, but nobody watched me or was available if I needed help! At the last minute they told me who the guide was, but first told me to hurry up as the boat was leaving. No introductions, the shortest briefing in the world! No buddy system, no checks. Not even are you ok? Do you need any help? Boat drivers were yelling loudly to other boat drivers so could hardly hear the DM. I was the last to enter the water and dive master was already wanting to go down. Not seeing that I wasn’t quite ready! Dive was fine but lasted 20 minutes ( the other person was low on air) The dive master went to the back of the boat and ignored everyone. No conversation, no questions Nothing. Back on shore I had to ask all the questions, where to put stuff etc. Wanted to pay and they said receptionist would be back later. No interest at all!!! In my opinion this is a highly unprofessional outfit. Not going back. Disappointed is an understatement. Good money paid for a sub standard experience. This is not how diving should go. Be advised

Had an incredible time getting my certificate with Sven. He and the shop were super flexible, as the typhoon delayed some of the times we had planned. Overall an absolutely fantastic experience and I strongly recommend him as a world class diving instructor!

I have been diving with Blue Abyss for about 5 days and i can highly recommend this shop. They are really well organized and the euipment, boats and shop are very well maintained. I also liked the fact, that they go out at 8.30 already for the first dive of the day, so we were the first divers to jump at Pescador-Island. The staff is very friendly and the guides did not just spot even the smallest critters, but also did a proper briefing. After returning from the dive some snacks were provided - also a very nice gesture! Keep up the good work guys - i will definitly be back :)
