Sunset in Zia

4 reviews
Charming Zia in the southernmost slope, whose superb location makes it the perfect spot for viewing spectacular sunsets and gazing at the nearby islands of Kalymnos and Pserimos as well as the Turkish coast in the distance.

During the summer the settlement of Zia is bursting with activity from the countless visitors who come to taste local delicacies served in charming traditional taverns, to purchase unique local products and souvenirs and to stroll through the cobblestone alleyways all the way up to its crystal-clear fresh water springs, the most well-known of which is Kefalovrisi.

Popped in to watch the England game as we were staying in the Ramira across the road. It was very quiet but the staff had no issues in putting the requested game on for us and gave us good service. They have happy hour 7-9pm so we had some lovely frozen strawberry daquiris for 5 euros each which was good. We tried to visit another day for food as we heard they did nice burgers etc but we turned up at 6:30pm and it was closed despite Google saying it was open so we ended up going down the road (in opposite direction to ramira) to another little open air bar.

Found this little place down the hill from our hotel. We visited most days and always promptly got served and Andrei remembered us and what our normal orders were. He is a brilliant worker and easy to talk to. The music what is played is brilliant classics what everyone knows, better than red sky bar. It's a very comfy bar and soon became our favourite. Nadia and Peter are truly amazing they made us feel so welcome and looked after us. It was so nice to get to know you all and share stories. We were very sad to leave the bar lastnight but hopefully see you some time in the future. Thankyou for making our holiday extra special x

Stayed at the hotel behind which was all inclusive but this was a brilliant getaway when you were fed up of the same surroundings. Only ever had beers which were reazonable but many people were calling in for food which it would seem was good quality and value. Very pleasant hosts.

We came here for early evening drinks. We ordered at the bar and the four drinks were brought over. We came during happy hour so the classic cocktails were only €5. I had the mojito and in our next round a margarita. Also pictured is the sangria that my fiance had, it was also only €5 for 500ml. The bar is very nice with lots of seating and a play area for children. A good place to go if you want cocktails on the road to Kos.
