My son Oli, who is 13 years old, had a basic scuba diving experience two years ago in Corfu. This holiday he wanted to have more experience to work towards his PADI at a later date. We signed up for a session which gave him some basics in the hotel pool and then an experience in the sea. Oli was a little nervous and so was I! However there was absolutely no need! Konstantinos was absolutely amazing! He gave Oli a pamphlet the day before which prepared him with basic knowledge and hand signals. The morning of the dive Konstantinos was calm yet firm with instructions, always taking care of Oli and his equipment. Ensuring my son felt comfortable and confident. When Oli came out of the sea after the dive he was beaming. He spoke of all the delightful fish they had seen and was most impressed with an octopus which was hiding. He used his own savings to put towards a further two dives which he loved. The second dive Konstantinos brought some food in order to lure out the octopus! It was the absolute highlight of our holiday. We purchased photos which were easy to download once we got home since the WiFi was stronger and my son has been continually looking at them ever since. I’m going to make a calendar out of them as a surprise Christmas present. We feel so privileged to have had this experience with Kos Divers.

So, new to KOS and the Psalidi Beach, I wanted to dive the area with someone who knew the area well. Trip Advisor pointed me towards Kos Divers. My enquiry confirmed the business was back operating in the COVID-19 period. From the very start, Konstantinos Marmarinos (owner) was brilliant! His response to emails was prompt and to the point, his integrity and honesty beyond reproach, so rare in today’s commercial world. This is a man who will refuse business if he believes circumstances will not allow him to deliver complete and full value. From the first time I met him (after regrettably messing him about due to an unforeseen (last minute) dental issue he was calm and reassurance personified. Worried that I had messed him about a little, he just said ‘Chill, relax, don’t worry, all is fine’. And so it was. His experience is significant, his manner gentle and caring with a strong safety ethic always. And his preparedness to educate and teach and demonstrate to move you forwards to be a better diver, continuous. Across five dives he moved this reasonably experienced diver so far forward it was wonderful. I believed firmly that my dive weight for the equipment and environment was 10Kg. Konstantinos got me diving beautifully on 4Kg ..... 4Kg!! Divers will appreciate just what that means. The dive site is ‘limited’ but the fish species varied and the ability to ‘get real close’ a wonderment. That said I did 5 dives in 3 days and not once got bored. Konstantinos makes the dives interesting and fun. A 50 minute dive just flies by. Clearly he has a great respect for the sea-life but with 20 years in this location, the fish trust him too. For anyone new to diving you could not be in better hands. For an experienced diver, Konstantinos will bring something new and different to your diving. The man is a diving treasure. Just two last things to add too; in this sad COVID-19 world we are in right now, Konstantinos is so thorough in his cleaning regime it was amazing. Every protocol followed to the letter, brilliant sanitization, an immaculately kept dive centre. Lastly, you are not a ‘paying customer’ to Konstantinos, you are a friend and a student with something to learn every time you dive. Respect this man and his knowledge and experience and you will learn something every time you dive with him. And in schooling terms, Konstantinos is a 10/10 in my book. Brilliant, brilliant time, thank you Konstantinos.

We had a great experience at the Kos diving centre. I’d never done it before and Konstantinos made me feel very calm and relaxed. My partner and I really enjoyed the two hours, one hour in the pool and one hour in the sea. Konstantinos took loads of photos which we bought, so we’ve got some great memories too. I would highly recommend this diving centre.

We had a discovery session with Kos Diver which was really enjoyable. The owner Konstantinos met us at the reception of the hotel (a big complex with a huge pool and access to the beach) and we first went through the Covid briefing, then fitting of the equipment, it all felt very safe. We did our first dive in the pool, Georgios was brilliant with our teens (12 and 15) and explained the principles in a way that was really easy to follow. We then went into the sea and saw many fish swimming all around us as well as an octopus. Konstantinos took lots of photos throughout so we have great memories of our dive. The experience was well worth the money and the children are really excited about diving again on our next holiday.
