Excellent service and very good resort diving

Reef Oasis provided excellent service during our 2-week stay at the resort. We were there with a group of 3 very experienced divers, and 1 diver who received his open and advanced certifications.

Since the 3 of us were very experienced and used to diving with each other, they let us enter first and exit last, extending our dive time quite a bit. And they gave the less experienced divers the proper amount of supervision.

The boat had lots of space, and they were putting fewer divers on board due to social distancing. Also, they kept a bucket of fresh water on the boat the for photographers. We were provided bottle water, and brought our own snacks from the breakfast buffet.

They carried almost all our gear to the boat on a daily basis. Back at the shop, they have large wash basins for gear, places to hang our wetsuits, and baskets for everything else.

They have some nice house reefs that can be reached from a dock or shore. This is an excellent opportunity for divers in training or divers that need to brush up on their skills.

I can say I have dived all over the Caribbean, and I was able to photograph fish here I have never captured anywhere else. There isn't much on big life, but they do have a lot of healthy corals and smaller fish to capture the photographer's attention.

Fantastic dive center, well organized. All trips are well prepared. For me the best and most important was diving on the SS Thistlegorm, excellent boat took us to the reef and back.
Very well prepared and described diving, a great guide who knows all the secrets of the diving site. There was also a trip to Bleu Hole, although it's not my vibe anymore, but I think that you have to try everything, so this too! Center Highly recommended!!

World Class Dive Shop and Diving

The Dominican Republic is not really known as one of the "destinations" for world class diving, but due to travel restrictions (COVID), we decided to give it a try. There were 16 in our group and almost all of them are divers. Miguel, Kim, Mustafa and the others did an amazing job of hosting us for 10+ dives each, despite being short staffed. They showed us some of what the Dominican Republic has to offer for diving. The diving and Reef Oasis far exceeded our expectations and makes us want to go back again. They even arranged an underwater proposal for a couple in our group to make our trip even more memorable. Even in difficult times, Reef Oasis was able to show us that the Dominican Republic is truly a world class dive location! We will be back some day! Thanks!

Great diving experiece

Spent a great week with the dive crew here in February 2022. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who were also a lot of fun to hang with. My nephew got his Open Water certification dives done and he felt really good about his experience. The dives were all good, saw the "usual" cool stuff as well as some new things - frogfish for example. The energy, humour and warmth of Kim S made the diving really fun. I will be back!

Best scuba shop by far

I can't say enough positive things about my experience. Excellent staff. Very well run program for first time divers and experienced.
I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a first time experience or for more in depth dive training and equipment. Miguel and all his staff has built a great business based on a real passion for scuba.
Narciso is an awesome , detail oriented instructor who also made it fun and he also very thorough and detail oriented . If you are thinking on getting certified for PADI scuba diver, this is the place.

Stunning experience

We had several dives all around the islands, reefs and beaches of the Viva Dominican. Miguel and Kim are superb dive masters and we had a stunning experience on each dive.

Very professional handling of all the equipment, always open for questions, lots of fun and good knowledge of all the underwater creatures. These dive masters definitely know what they are doing.

Go there and dive with them, you will have a splendid time.

Fantastic company with amazing dive sites

The instructors are amazing! They are extremely kind and patient and very very helpful. The dive sites are beautiful and there is plenty to see there.

Fruit and water is provided on the dive boat at no extra cost which is great for staying hydrated. There are shallow dives from between 5-9 metres, all the way down to deeper wreck dives at 30-40 metres. So everyone can enjoy the dive this company offers, from beginners to experienced divers.

I would highly highly recommend booking with this company, you will not regret it. Diving with them made up the best days of my trip!

I took the PADI Advanced Open Water Dove course at the Bayahibe Reef Oasis Viva Dominican location - and am so happy I did!
The staff is amazing and professional. Noemi helped with all of my pre-visit booking questions. I dived with Martina, Humberto and Kim - a phenomenal group of professionals.
The dive locations were great and the overall organization (briefings, boat rides, dives, support staff) was exemplary. Even snacks (watermelon and pineapple) were included between dives!
Others I have talked to were also very impressed with the services.
I ended up booking additional dives (only had a day remaining in my visit).
Suffice to say that I am planning my next trip to the Dominican Republic and will be staying near this location, mostly because of the great experience I had with the Reef Oasis Viva Dominican diving club.

Great place to get your Advanced Open Water cert!

My wife and I just returned from an incredible trip to the DR and had the pleasure of obtaining our PADI Advanced Open Water and Enriched Air Diver Certifications from Reef Oasis Viva Dominican. We did 8 dives over the course of 4 days, which consisted of a navigation dive, night dive, deep dive, wreck dive, drift dive, and more. Our Instructor, Mostafa, along with the shop Manager, Miguel, were incredibly fun, knowledgeable, and accommodating. Mostafa is a passionate instructor whose love for diving is contagious. He is a wealth of knowledge and the fact that he speaks 6 languages fluently is remarkable. I never felt as if he was just "going through the motions" during our course... Instead, he went out of his way to make each dive unique and memorable, while also being very safety conscious. We saw lots of pretty reef and abundant wildlife; however, the wreck dives were the highlight of the trip... The St. George and Atlantic Princess wrecks are not to be missed!

Lots to see and loads of fun!

We dove an entire week with the Reef Oasis team - w/ dive masters Miguel, Humberto, and Jacobo - and loved every minute. Our group’s experience level varied from newbie to expert and the Reef Oasis team members made sure we were all well-accommodated. The dive shop is located on the Wyndham Dominicus Hotel property, which is safe, secure, and beautiful.
