There were three in our group and we did ten dives. I completed my advanced open water certificate which covered five of the dives and the other five dives were fun non-certification dives. The other two in my group including my husband were not doing any certifications. My husband and I were very rusty since we hadn’t dived for a few years but Jeremy the instructor was very patient and attentive. Jeremy covered all the requirements for certification and was very professional. I felt very comfortable with him as my instructor. I truly felt I learned a lot and improved my diving skills immensely. Jeremy went beyond by showing me additional skills such as using my new surface marker buoy a few times during drift dives even though these were not part of my advanced certification. For our ten dives, we went to both Catalina island and Saona island which were very nice. We dived at the Atlantic Princess and St. George wrecks. The St. George is a deeper wreck and both wrecks are swim through. We enjoyed both wrecks. We also dived at the Guaraquao 1 and 2, Aquarium, The Wall, Coco Reef sites which were all nice. Our favorite dive sites were the Penon 1, Penon 2 and Penon 3. We have dived in other places in the Caribbean (St Thomas, St Vincent, Grenada, Grand Cayman, Puerto Rico, St Lucia) and in Hawaii and have to say that at the Penons, the amount of beautifully colored corals, colorful fish varieties as well as the large number of fish were stunning and better then we have seen before. We honestly felt like we were swimming in a very well stocked aquarium. The boats are spacious and well designed for divers. The staff is very helpful. We communicated several times by email in advance to set up a schedule. They were always responsive. The prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend Scubafun and plan to use them again when I return to DR.

The shop owner and staff went above and beyond to accommodate my late request to get wreck and deep specialty certification during the week I was there. The instructor (Jeremy) was the best. A stickler for details and patient with me - making sure every requirement was performed. I learned a lot and feel competent for future deep and wreck dives. The non-certification dives we did were great! Lots of fish, eels, rays, and even a decent size octopus! Thanks to John, Laura, Jeremy, and all the behind-the-scenes crew that created such a wonderful experience!!! I can't wait to get back!!

There were 6 in our group for a two tank dive. Scuba Fun was friendly and professional. The equipment was well maintained. We saw a small spotted stingray, a wall of fish, 2 small seahorses, a large spotted stingray about 7', a lot of coral. The visibility was about 60' but cloudy. Would dive with them again.

Went on the Catalina trip. My husband did two dives, and I got the opportunity to snorkel at two different locations. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, but particular thanks to Laura who went out of her way to make us feel welcome- I hope you get some decent sausage rolls soon Laura! The company arranged for our transfer in a private air conditioned car from Punta Cana to Bayahibe, and this worked well. Catalina island itself is very beautiful, and a nice change from overcrowded Punta Cana. The food wasn’t amazing though. The return boat trip was quite long, but the staff on the boat ensued it was party time all the way, and the day was the best day of my holiday. Next time we would definitely spend some time in Bayahibe, rather than characterless Punta Cana.

Just returned from my third time diving with Scuba Fun. As usual everything was excellent. Laura was quick and very helpful with my emails, got to dive with John (the owner) for 2 days and the first day it was just myself, John and Albert on the boat. Can't wait to get back diving with these guys again in April. Steve B
