As a family we had a wonderful time snorkeling around Bayahibe with our guide Rafa. The many types of colorful fish were amazing. Rafa was quick to point out the many different fish species as we snorkeled the reefs. His passion for ocean life is very contagious!
I highly recommend Coral Point even if you only have a few hours to go for a quick snorkel.

Coral Point Diving centre is on a totally different level of any dive centre we have ever seen. We normally go on 2 diving holidays a year for more than 10 years now and we have never seen a dive centre as good as “Coral Point”.
It’s not often that you can find a product/deal in life that is excellent value for money and also excellent quality. Coral Point is a proof that such miracle can happen. The dive centre is well organized and well maintained. The dive centre arranges for a taxi to pick you up from your hotel and bring you back after the dives free of charge. The price of the dives are some of the cheapest in the area also for those serious divers that like a longer dives, this is where you want to be. We talked to good few dive centres in our hotel and around Bayahibe area, not only they were way more expensive the Coral Point, but also they all told us their maximum dive time is 45 minutes. At Coral Point most of our dives were around or more than 1 hour so if you do the maths, after 4 dives you kind of doing one extra dive for free compare to other dive centres in the area. That is not all, you don’t need to do anything, they take all the diving gear (even your own) to the boat, they change the tanks between dives, and at the end of the trip they bring everything to the centre themselves, wash and take care of everything. Lovely friendly staff (mostly European) making sure you having a good time whether you are a beginner or experience diver.
This was how a normal diving day for us:
We were picked up sometimes around 8:15 and taken to dive centre middle of Bayahibe village.
After doing the paper work (only first day) we were checking the equipment and once we were happy with everything, all diving gear were taken to the boat by staff.
The boats are not too big but all have twin engines with a good stepladder. The boat was leaving around 9:30am.
After doing 2 dives, it depends how far the sites were, we were coming back anytime between 12 and 14pm.
Staff were offloading all diving gear and taking care of everything. We were then given lift back to our hotel.
Altogether we’ve done 16 dives each, most of them over one hour period and they make sure divers are put in the group that matches their diving level.
The water is very warm (28 to 30°C all year round). The wildlife is plentiful and coloured, including corals, sponges, fishes, shellfishes, and a lot more.
We would totally recommend Coral Point Diving centre to any beginner or advance divers, and we will certainly go back to them and dive with them as long as they exist.

I've been diving since 2012, and Coral Point Diving gave one of the best and detailed orientations I've had. They had beautiful hand-drawn maps of each dive site and labeled pictures of wildlife that we would potentially see. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and loved what they do. When I couldn't remember what I saw after the dives but described it to Natalia back at the shop, she could identify exactly what I was talking about. You can tell that they take safety seriously. In our group, two of us were doing fun dives and 2 others were doing their advanced certification. They had 5 staff members on the dives just for the 4 of us!

We did 10 dives in addition to the Enriched Air (Nitrox) course at Coral Point Diving. The staff were excellent. (I apologize if I mis-spell any names, I didn't think to note name spellings at the time!)

Natalie, who seemed to be most often taking care of logistics and the office, was very helpful, pleasant, and kind. She arranged transport to and from our hotel in Dominicus by taxi most days.

Edmund, our instructor for the nitrox course and our guide for several days, was excellent. He was very helpful, happy to share knowledge and give advice, and helpfully recommended an excellent local eco-tour as well. My wife was a little anxious as she was out of practice diving, but Ed quickly made her comfortable, gave her tips, helped her to improve her technique, and increased her confidence. Ed is an excellent instructor and dive guide, and we would recommend him for anyone, but especially children or a nervous adult.

Moritz guided for us one day, and he was great as well, very calm and clearly attentive to his whole group underwater. Isi and Bex assisted our dive guides several days and, with the other staff, carried our heavy equipment onto and off the boats every day. The entire staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. Ben and Fiona added information and tips about various courses and diver development processes to look into in the future as well.

Rafa guided us one day as well, and when we encountered an illegal fishing line broken off and left on the reef in the national park, he carefully and gently freed two living fish from the abandoned hooks, and then VERY carefully freed a hooked stingray as well. Although clearly it was a risk of injury to himself to free the ray, he wisely turned it inverted to prevent it lashing out in fear and was able to remove the hook from its mouth. It would certainly have died if left trapped, and we were in only about 5M depth. The ray was successfully rescued and swam away.

Paula guided for us on our last day, and was very helpful and informative as well, taking care to point out unique marine life as well as telling us anecdotes about the dive sites and wrecks.

Excellent experience on all dives, the St. George and the Peñon and Tortuga dives are certainly not to be missed.

This is a really fun diving company. They make diving fun. They provide hotel pickups in the mornings and hotel drop offs in the early afternoons. From the HM Alma hotel where we stayed, just 10 minutes away. Pickups were typically around 8 - 815 am. First dives were around 930 am and we were back at the shop after the second dive by around 1 pm.

The staff is young, accommodating and professional. The dive sites are just a few minutes away. They are full service and can provide all equipment or they will store your own equipment securely every night. They are in a great location in the heart of town with restaurants next door and nearby. They are right off the beach in the harbor.

The boats are small, but they do limit the number of divers to make the experience easy. The staff are very accommodating and will change the dive sites if requested. The dive master's and boat captain even retrieve your removed BC when you are exiting the water.

Prices are competitive and they will work with you on different packages.

We have dived around the world but hadn't dived in the last 4 and half years since the pandemic began. Now in our 70's, we wanted to go someplace to rekindle our dive experiences. This place was perfect. Bathtub water at around 84 degrees. Minimal to no current. Easy water entrances and exits. Close dive sites. Friendly staff. What's not to like?

We've just returned from Bayahibe where my two grandsons got their open water certification and the rest of the family did fun diving (and then went diving with the newly certified boys). We used Coral Point Diving and thought their instruction and entire diving operation was extraordinary. All of the staff was friendly, attentive, and fully professional. The Cressi equipment was all in good order, and the boats were set up properly for diving. We went in small groups (often just our family and 1 other diver) and the divemasters guided the dives and found lots of "stuff". A special call out to Ed and Paulina who made the boys (14 and 16) open water course a wonderful experience that left the boys entirely comfortable in the water, even on a night dive. And a special thanks to Ed who gave us some wonderful pictures and videos of the experience. We left feeling we had made new friends and the boys started on a lifetime of diving. Not to leave out the fact that the dive sites were terrific.

Another 12 dives with Coral Point! We live in Punta Cana and go to Bayahibe about every 4-6 weeks to make some bubbles. This last week was 12 dives in 6 days - wouldn’t dive with any other shop 👍👍

Have used Coral Point since 2018.

Had a great time diving with the Coral Point team. Thanks to Ed Settle for helping me achieve my advanced open water certification. I started communicating with them about a month before our trip. They were very responsive and helpful. We stayed in Punta Cana, which is about an hour from Bayahibe. CP arranged the travel and though it wasn’t cheap, the driver was right on time and there was no hassle. Ed is a great instructor, and I also worked with Ana, who was working as an instructor intern. Diving was from a small boat and there were about 8 divers plus three dive masters. The staff is very helpful and multilingual. I highly recommend the CP team!

Five tanks over 2 days of diving with Dive Master Martin. This is a small operation and they are capable of customizing your experience. They are professionals. they fill their own tanks, and follow all the PADI guidelines for safety and education.

I cheated on them for our 3rd day of diving and used a competitor Scuba Caribe. That was a mistake as they paired us with an uncertified diver and took him to 70ft, and waisted half our day sitting on a beach.

The boats are pretty small and the waters can be a little rough so make sure to let them know if you have recently had back surgery!
