Lovely Hotel overlooking the sea.
Staff are very friendly and helpful.

I had a junior suite, which for one person is large, but i won't complain. Room was very modern, all amenities.

Hotel premises are very nice, with great beach. The Restaurant down by the sea, which specializes in sea food was great. Good quality food and good staff/waiters.

The lounge area outside was also very cool, live music in the evenings overlooking the sea.

Overall a nice hotel.

We LOVED this little beach town. Bayahibe is filled with friendly people, good food and feels very safe. We booked rooms at Altea Bayahibe, which was a great experience also. The owner radiates positive island vibes and made us feel right at home! Definitely a gem on the island.

+ Hotel is very climate - nice style, beatiful design. Rooms are clean, terrace is available (we in room 15 had balcony, rooms below have terrace). Location very good - 3 minutes from port. Breakfast delicious but portion can be bigger (2 toasts, one pieces of ham and chesse, and scramble eggs). Internet available in all areas, swimming pool small but nice, parking on the street available. Service very calm, helpful and professional (speaking in English)
- Breakfast can be bigger, safe box unavailable

If you are staying at the Hilton La Romana resorts, its a fifteen minute walk down the beach to get to Bayahibe. Do not miss this safe and fun opportunity to experience the Dominican people and their culture outside the confines of an all-inclusive hotel. Lots of other tourists around since this is a center for boat excursions. Stayed at the Hilton, so did not stay or eat in Bayahibe, but from the looks of it, the town offers a number of good guest house and restaurant options.

Description in Booking app wasn't very accurate. It shows some features that the hotel doesn't actually have: such as a kitchen, hot tub and balcony IN the room I booked. Kitchen was a must for me, due to some food allergies.
Cleanliness is not that great neither. Some hairs in the shower and even the bedsheets. Besides a dirty chair and a funky smell in the room.
Other than that, the receptionist Chiara is beyond welcoming and kind.

The Bayahibe Village is the perfect Hotel to enjoy your stay in Bayahibe. The owner Fabrizio puts a lot of energy into improinhg this place and is always willing to fulfill every single wish you ask for.
I would definitely come again and see how much this place has developed and improved in my absence :)
Regarding the room:
- very comfy mattress
- AC plus a fan on the ceiling work perfectly fine and lower the temperature in your room a lot
- Mosquito net on the window
- A Bidet in the bathroom is very useful
- WiFi worked fine, only very few downtimes

Annoying street urchins will pester you to buy crappy overpriced items from their souvenirs shops. The locals are not friendly. Lots of trash on the ground.

Avoid Bayahibe Village like the plague unless you want to deal with chasing after crooks who don't honor free cancellation policies and who shamelessly ignore all forms of contact in an attempt to run away with people's money. Thank goodness I hadn't booked directly with them as Booking.com eventually stepped in and managed to force the refund I was entitled to. That whole frustrating process took well over a month to resolve with lots of emails, phone calls and proof checking exchanges.
I had canceled because they were seriously unprofessional and unreliable...I had booked a 3 night stay in a TWO bedroom apartment only to receive a message from them 3 days later to say that my apartment wasn't available anymore and they can offer me a ONE bedroom apartment for 15% less. When I refused the offer, they told me that my initial booking was miraculously available again. They also went radio silence when I asked to change arrival and departure dates as my travel plans had changed and only started being reactive once I cancelled the reservation completely (only because they wanted me to book again). As I didn't, they decided to keep my money and throw their "refund in 7 days time" out the window. Speechless!
Also be aware that Bayahibe Village's supposed "temporary hold"of your money actually results in them debiting the full amount completely WITH A 4% SURCHARGE as they use a company called Tab to deal with prepayment vouchers. As I like to pay in person with cash, I did not like this at all. Supposedly, you can opt out of this and pay in person and they will refund you the amount once you've paid but judging by how everything went down...very unlikely and you would have lost double your money.
You've been warned.

The best choice ever. If you want to have a real trip in Dominican Republic you should stop in Bayahibe. I spent 4 nights in Altea, and I visited Saona by private boat. Simply incredible.
