About
Saona Island is the epitome of the Caribbean paradise, and it is for this reason that a boat trip to its sun-kissed shores is one of the Dominican Republic’s most popular excursion. Golden sand and crystal blue water framed with coconut palm trees stretches for miles, providing a perfect paradise to enjoy a day of sun, sea and Dominican rum. On a typical excursion, visitors will enjoy time relaxin

We did the Isla Saona tour with Israel! A bit unorganized in the beginning in regards to loading everyone onto the catamaran. But overall 5/5 stars. Our trip was $75 from punta cana. That included shuttle pick up and drop off, the boat ride, the natural pool, buffet (which was actually good)and the Isla Saona beach.

My girlfriend and I loved so many things about this. It was a once in a lifetime trip that left us with amazing memories. Enrique was incredibly personable and as a guide, couldnt have asked for better. Horse back riding to a cave & the beach... The cave we were brought to was beautiful, and the experience was like no other. Couldnt recommend this more, must do!

Immensely great responsiveness from initial WhatsApp inquiry to execution of the entire tour. Flawless from step to step. An amazing experience and highly recommend to anyone wanting one of the best options for their DR trip (couples, family, solo, doesn’t matter)

This was my 3rd year in a row going to Saona Island! I wanted my 2 daughters to see this amazing paradise I've been telling them about! The catamaran was so much fun and we had a blast dancing with the entertainment team!
The beach buffet was lovely as usual!
Can't wait to return again for another day in paradise!

As advised I was at the hotel lobby at 7:20 AM when I asked two different tour guides they didn’t have me in their list. So I called the What’s App number I had been communicating with 1-829-540-1000 he said to look for a mini van. I found the mini van and the driver confirmed he will be transporting us. He first dropped us off at a little gift shop he said we had to wait for the next minivan to pick us up. The next minivan arrived like 5 minutes after. We got on the second mini van, which dropped us off at a gas station that seemed to be their meeting point to get together the people who were going to the same place in my case it was Isla Saona. Here we got on the third minivan they stuffed 11 passengers in an H1 Hyundai mini van. From here we departed to the Bayahibe Port we stopped at another gas station for like 25 minutes grabbed snacks and used the restroom. We finally got to the port at 10:30 AM in total it was a 3 hour drive as we left the hotel lobby at 7:30 AM. Once at the port I paid 5 US dollars per person for what was explained to me as a tax that is collected by the ministry of tourism. At the port we got on a speed boat rather than a catamaran as described on their website it was very disappointing as this was not what I was expecting. The speedboat is also packed full of passengers we drove on the speedboat for about an hour to get to what they describe as a natural pool around 11:30AM where we stopped for about 30 minutes. Then we finally drove on a speedboat to Isla Saona around 12:15 PM we had lunch right away. We stayed at Isla Soana for about 2 hours. By the way the piña coladas are 10 US dollars quite overpriced if you ask me they are served in a pineapple but they are virgin and did not taste all that great to be honest. Also the website describes that throughout your stay you will have an open bar, which includes: water, sodas, juices, rum, and beer, among others. The only thing available was water and soda there was nothing else offered while at Isla Saona. Around 2:30 PM we took off on the speedboat to meet with a catamaran there was much confusion as to which catamaran our group was going to get on. The catamaran and speedboat drivers argued for like 10 minutes. They finally transferred us to a catamaran and we took off back to the port. The entertainment on the catamaran looked like a lot of fun a male and female dancer entertained the group and hyped them up to dance. I was quite tired at this point so I could not enjoy the catamaran party, which btw was supposed to be on the way to Isla Saona NOT on the way back to the port also the drinks offered on the catamaran were soda no alcoholic drinks what so ever. The ride on the catamaran is about two hours back to the port. Once close to the port they will switch you to another boat in my case it rained at this point so we got drenched and it was very windy so I was freezing so you might want to put a change of clothes in a bag just to be safe like I did. Around 4:30 PM we got the port I was able to change clothes and used the rest room. Thankfully our driver waited for me. We then took off back to the hotel back on the same minivan but this time we had to stop at two hotels to leave two groups of passengers and then he dropped us off at our hotel last around 6:40 PM. This was a whole day activity in my opinion it was a very disorganized in general there was a lot of wasted time in the transportation what is promised on the website is inaccurate, from the catamaran to the island to the open bar that was supposed to be available on the island I was quite disappointed with the whole experience.

We booked our with Isla Saona Tours, our agent was Enrique, he was extremely profesional from the very beginning, we were in a group of 26 people he did everything posible to make sure that we had a great experience, he even went as far as to meet us the day of the excursion and went along with us on our trip.
Everything that we discussed and and paid for went without a hitch.
This excursion was by far the best part of our trip to Punta Cana.
Do not hesitate to contact Enrique, you will NOT be disappointed (305) 907-4667
