Loved the island but not the hotel! The Jandia Occidental Player is the worst hotel I have stayed at. Charged €3.00 for a small wine glass of beer, also when I wanted a soft drink. Total rip off. Also, interrupt me for payment whilst eating. Totally rude. Breakfast, when I wanted egg on toast, cook had not even started cooking them! Had to wait for an hour after restaurant had opened to get any cooked eggs. The evening front desk guy was rude and sarcastic. Opening times for collecting beach towel, which was displayed, had no one there at the times displayed. The pathways and swimming areas had broken paving creating a trp hazard. The only good thing was the maids cleaning the rooms. They were polite and hardworking always eager to help with any problems.

Jandía is the area and town south of Fuerteventura, it is located on the peninsula that bears its name. It is a protected area and stands out for its magnificent beaches. At the end of it is the westernmost area of Fuerteventura, with a lighthouse that bears its name and in the south the Morro Jable Lighthouse and its Matorral beach. It is so far from the center of Fuerteventura that it really is like a world apart, as if you were on another island

What a shame that narrow minded people would diss those who have a live and live attitude and choose to bare all in an area that is considered to be naturist. If people don’t like naturism, young or old, choose the north of the island and leave those who remain free spirits alone to enjoy the feeling of liberation. I don’t know why one would comment on others nakedness when there’s miles of beautiful scenery to look at and enough open space to avoid the short and curlies. I’ve been going for years, fabulous locals, and a wonderful place to wind down.

Have just spent our 2nd visit to Jandia and cannot wait to return next year. The main beaches in front of the hotels are outstanding, but the best beaches are along the stretch in between Morro jable and costa calma. We took a bus from jandia to the Los Gorriones Hotel on Sotavento Beach, which is amazing on its own, about 2km long by 1km wide and practically deserted away from the hotel, we walked along the beach thru Risco del paso, los verdes and Mal nombre, all stunning, white sand and turquoise crystal clear warm sea, very few people around, we walked all the way back to Morro Jable, about 6-7km, not as drastic as it sounds as the scenery is amazing and reminiscent of the carribean, and there are several beach bars along the way for a pit stop. A couple of days later we decided to walk again , this time from Jandia to Sotavento and were pleased to see Sotavento lagoon had flooded, this happens twice a month for about 4-5 days, and its well worth seeing, you can check the tide timetables at http://www.rene-egli.com/wind-weather/tide-table/
Jandia itself is a quiet relaxing place, theres a few shops,a dozen bars etc and a few nice restaurants in the old town area, perfect as far as im concerned, if you want a more lively place then Correlejo is more for you, the dunes there are worth a visit. Went to Caleta de fuste about 8 years ago, very good, but returned 3 years later and found the main street of bars and restaurants was like a ghost town, the bar owners place the blame on the rise of the all inclusive, shame.

Morro Jable or Jandia as it is generally called is a town of two halves. The first part you reach is the modern town, with all the large hotels, shops and touristy stuff. There is a long, broad, tree and flower lined promenade, adorned with a variety of strange sculptures. Beyond the promenade are miles of golden sandy beach. Street parking is available along most of the road running parallel to the promenade but as this is a bustling place, spaces are often limited. Once you reach the end of the promenade, you enter the more traditional old town, which stretches down to the port.

We stayed at the Princess club Jandai. The food was good quality just not great quantity. The pools were cold but the nudist session was quiet and relaxing.
I enjoyed miles of nude walking along the beach away from the main resorts. Then up the cliffs and more nude walking along the cliff sides.

Love Jandia and Fuerteventura vibe but it gets all spoiled by old naked people walking around.
Makes me and my young children very uncomfortable, when you trying to have relaxing day at the beach and old men flashing their private’s next to you also old ladies constantly lying around naked looks just painful.
Guys just wear some knickers! 🙆♀️

Without question some of the best stretch of coastline in Fuerteventura.
It has miles of beach walking available with good beach bars, toilets and facilities are along.
The beach is spotless with good swimming conditions.
There’s plenty of shops, bars & restaurants off it with quaint old town in Morro del JABO to the right as you look at the ocean.
Well worth a visit, it’s stunning.

If you are once in Fuerteventura you MUST visit Jandia National Park and Beach - it's simply amazing. The water is crystal clear, the amazing scenery and amazing feeling afterwards.
