The place it self is beautiful, BUT ... the place is degraded with idiots who moor ships there and play loud music (bum, bum, bum)!
I am sad when I see, how nobody care such treasures and doesnt protect, so that we can enjoy such piece of wild beautyful nature.
Mallorca please, make prohibitions to stop parking boats in such rare bay´s.

We walked down the very steep steps and found two signs. One pointed to Calo del Moro, and the other to this beach. The beach itself is small, and rocky.

But the views are spectacular, especially on a clear morning.

My suggestion is stop here for the views, then walk the short distance to Calo del Moro.

Cliff jumpers seemed to be having a great time. Just beware that there is no beach to speak of so everyone is set up on the rocks, little uncomfortable for sunbathing. Water-shoes are an absolute must here. Out of the many beautiful beaches Majorca has to offer I wouldn’t recommend this one for young families. Definitely more of a 20 somethings vibe, beer, music and people selling and smoking weed. But enjoyed it! Note: Be prepared for a 20ish min walk from any parking option, ending with some steep steps down the cliff side.

Not easy to reach: poor parking and far away from the path, during the summer all streets around the bay are closed so that reaching this spot is like trecking on asphalt. In July and August the place is just packed like many others in the area. Very nice indeed but I'm afraid unfrequentable during high season

Great little cove, very reachable by boat and car. But in season come early, it tends to be very busy.

I'm not gonna lie - we meant to go to Caló del Moro. I even had it saved on my Google Maps as having went there, along with my Shutterfly photo album. It's been almost a year since we went and as I was going to make my review, I kept seeing everyone else's pictures and thinking, "that doesn't look quite right." After some digging, I realized we ended up here! I think this place is fantastic but definitely did not mean to come here! Whoops! With limited cell coverage it's hard to 100% count on Google Maps being accurate so I probably just assumed we were there. Still not sure where the entrance to Caló del Moro actually is...

This place, Cala s'Almunia is not the easiest to find or get down to (again, incorrectly). I believe we entered near a building where the road bends, where Carrer des Caló des Moro becomes Carrer de sa Punta des Baus. We came here on May 7th, a Saturday, 2022 so while it definitely wasn't the busy season, it was getting started.

There are definitely signs on the street that say 'no parking' and we saw several police cars driving around. The cars that were closer to the entrance had tickets on them so they mean business. We came here with our twin toddlers (not even 2) so from where we parked (probably a good 15 minute walk on a side street) we had to take our stroller. When we got to the entrance, there was a police officer or some official guard standing at the top. I wasn't sure if that was a good sign or bad! Anyway, we obviously left our stroller behind, folded up to the side. No one bothered it while we were gone.

We carried our kids (in our arms - no carriers) down the stairs. I'm not remembering entirely but I'm think there are several different types of stairs, depending upon the terrain (like wooden & cement). It takes a while to get to the bottom but as you can imagine, much longer to get back up to the top. We wore pretty good shoes so we didn't have to worry about slipping/falling but we still took our sweet time and went slowly. When you get to the bottom of the stairs, you're on the North side of the cove, with the beach to your right. We only ever went about half-way to the beach because the terrain made us nervous with our kids. We saw plenty of people not heading to the beach. Perhaps they were like us, just here to look around or maybe they were also unsure of the terrain.

We saw a handful of people swimming in the water - gosh the water was SO turquoise! Some of the most vivid blue waters I've ever seen! On the far left of the cove, there are these buildings that seem kinda run-down in some areas but kinda nice (like their balconies) in other areas. They had boats out of the water. I couldn't tell if the buildings were occupied and/or who the boats belonged to but there were a few people hanging out in front.

I don't think we were there for too long - maybe 30 minutes. It was beautiful and I fully appreciated it, Moro or not.

We came here for the afternoon for a bit of peace and quiet.

We got exactly that! There are 2 ways to walk there, one is the "scenic" route ( this is pretty difficult- I wouldn't recommend this if you are a little older and unable to walk far.

The other is on some VERY steep steps. However, what I will say is that it is completely worth it.

quiet, tranquil, and great snorkling.

I will say bring a padded cushion or the like. Mainly rocks can make it a little uncomfortable.

Also, no shops are near so bring everything you need.

A picturesque beach to discover, a hidden place, difficult to go with children, and also in the high season; unique, like a natural pool behind rocks, off the beaten paths;
Cala s'Almunia is definitely worth seeing !
