In addition they ask you 60€ per person for an umbrella and a deckchair. Music is a scam , finally we found a beach next door with an umbrella and two deckchairs for 10€ . That you just have to look a little bit and find out.

The Chroussou beach is hidden in a small bay, securing a calm and quiet beach with nice sand. The majority of the beach is covered with umbrellas from the nearby bar, so if you want to throw a towel on the sand - you have to move to the side. Th best deal is to try and get a lazy chair under the pine trees which provide for a natural sun shelter throughout the whole day. Keep in mind that those are getting full quite fast.
The bars offer e decent deal - a free lazy chair + umbrella in return for consumption. Bringing food and drinks from outside is not tolerated and you're asked to kindly eat it outside the beach area or leave. Pretty much everything is priced 4€, cocktails are 10€. IMHO - it's a fair offer as long as you keep your spending under control. A bit more effort can be spent in cleaning the sand. Despite of all the trash cans which are available in many places - you can still find cigarette buns and pine tree needles in the sand.
The water is generally very warm, clean and the sea floor is all sand. You can see all the holes from the small desert crabs which are visible early morning as well.
There are boat rides and pedal boats which can be rented right from the beach south end.

This beach is great when it comes to sand and clean blue water. Of course it is while we are in Greece :)
However the abandoned buildings, trashes and cigarettes in the sand where my babies have played affect the image.
Still we've had great holidays but knowing other countries and beaches I can give only 3

An excellent sandy beach with a really long stretch of shallow water, which makes it an ideal choice for families with small kids. Unlike many sandy beaches in Halkidiki and Kassandra where there's sand on the beach but grit and pebbles in the water, here it is sand all the way - excellent for kids to play in the water! Plenty of parking space along the beach, with each of several beach bars providing lounge chairs and umbrellas. There are also family areas where you can put up your own umbrella. The downsides: I imagine it gets really crowded in high season, and even in low season there are tourist boats that regularly stop here and send their passengers for a little break and a swim here.
The beach (known as Chrouso, Chrousso, and Xenia beach) is easily accessible from the road connecting Chaniotis and Pefkochori to Paliouri (via two exits from this road, so take either one of those and you're down at the beach).

Great natural spot, pretty badly altered by the humans. Minimal facilities, abandoned amenities, cigarette butts.....

Probably one of the best sandy beaches in the world, and we have visited dozens of places in the globe. The water is crystal clear, the sea not deep and the trees come all the way down to the water. Only problem is that the place is too popular, attracting thousands of visitors on a daily basis, try to get early or try to book an umbrella if you can.

Beautiful beach, sandy, shallow, warm water, but very uncomfortably crowded, loud and pretty expensive.

Not at all what the photo looks like!
You have to pay €10 a sunbed then put €25 behind the beach bar… loud dance music playing all day… lots of rubbish and fag ends all over the beach…. Has been so spoilt!

We hired an umbrella and 3 sunbeds for 7 euros for the day. Cafe selling drinks and snacks. Beach was crowded but clean. Golden sand and beautiful clear warm sea.

Nice beach, busy but off the beaten track. Watersports available as well as food and drink. Table service offered and 4 euro per lounger. Water is crystal clear, no rocks.
