We have been coming to Afitos for 19 years and I never get bored of it. We stay in kalithea nearby and we love to visit Afitos.
A lovely authentic Greek village unspolit. Cobbled streets, church, central square, bars ,cafes and restaurants. Not tacky at all. We love it. You will always have good eating experiences in Afitos. Sit in the square at night with a drink by the church and watch the world go by. We love it

Extremely lively place, full of people even late at night. There are many small souvenir shops around as well as many bars and restaurants. There is also an interesting historical church.

We were tipped off about the Halkidiki region in northern Greece by associates in Bulgaria. We visited in Sept 2019 just when the weather was beginning to turn but still nice. We choose Afytos because it was described as quaint and tradtional greek village with a lot stone and neat shops, restaurants and tavernas. We were not disappointed. Lovely and amazing place. Great nightlife (not wild, but fun for couples or families with preteens or older) and restaurants top notch authentic. Highly recommended from May through Sept. I believe it mostly shuts down except for local residents in October.

We visited this lovely little village out of season, so not a lot was open, but on the positive side it was lovely and quiet and I can imagine in peak season it get's very.
busy.

In the center of the village there area a number of cafe's, lovely to people watch. The church is in the center and there looks to be a few nice shops.

We didn't walk down to the beach but we took the road to the left of the Church and went to see the beautiful view. There are some lovely little cafe's along here also and you can easily wile away a couple of hours.

Overall we enjoyed our visit and it is well worth a trip out if in close proximity.

Afitos is a beautiful village full of art and eye catching details, that make taking a camera essential. Shops, cafes and tavernas of all types spread out along streets from the main square but everything is within a short stroll. Lovely place that comes highly recommended for a visit

Popular location with large church very lavishly decorated inside.
Cafes Tavernas shops restaurants around here draw the crowds in.
Little quieter during the day but after 8pm it’s hustle bustle in a nice sort of way.
Plenty of back streets to wander around ... around the central square no traffic aloud.
Paved areas and walkways up to restaurants on the right ... centre way to fish restaurants and to the left Tavernas and restaurants with Greek fare to sample.
Overhaul good to visit

My family and I visited Afytos for a day out on our holiday to Possidi and it was beautiful. Plenty of shops, restaurants and bars to keep you busy. We took a pushchair for my son and we didn't struggle at all with the cobbled streets and hills.
