A forest in the middle of nowhere (with some animals)
Sep 2019
A piece of forest in the middle of nowhere with some animals and a paid entrance. We went there with a taxi because it's hard to reach without a car (if you have a small baby). Although, if you are with your car, at least there is no problem with parking place.

As a rule our child loves animals but this time he was bored with the place, thus we took only half of the recommended walk. We have seen wild pigs, sheep, gooses, squirrels, mice, marten, etc. The road is not demanding, but perhaps you will feel more comfortable wearing sport shoes. There is no problem with walking with baby's carriage.

As the park was boring for us, we thought we will eat something before going home but the portions (we bought fries) were really small (like 1/3 of usual portion we get in similar restaurants). I have noticed that other families brought their own food from home and that was a very good idea.

Park is nice, but a true wildpark
Aug 2019 • Family
Bit mixed feelings about this place;
Upon entry, there was no one at the register at the entry.
We waited almost 10 minutes to pay our entrance fee, but no one showed up. So in the end we decided to walk along without paying. We could do that afterwards as well.
The park is not like a zoo, where everything is packed together, it is (as the name says) a wildpark, so you have to walk a bit more through the forest and really search for the animals. Which is actually quite nice and fun to do. When you look closely, you will spot the animals.
Upon returning, we liked a drink. Which was fine, but (again) paying our bill for the drinks was troublesome again. Took us several minutes standing at the desk before someone showed up.
Now we passed the entrance again. Still no one there. Waited about 10 minutes again (and nowhere a sign like 'please pay in the restaurant' or something like that)
Staff can be a lot better in noticing customers.
So in the end we had a cheap day

Far Away From The Madding Crowd
Jun 2015 • Friends
Its a Superb experience to stay in one of the forest Huts, with minimum facilities, its like back to basic. We stayed at "Jodokushütte". The best idea is to go in a group of about 8 to 12 people and stay for 2 nights at least. There is not electricity, For water there is a small creek, The Toilet is on the back side like an outhouse. After dark, one has to use candles for light. There is a Gas stove & firewood provided. There is a place outside the hut for Fire / Barbecue / Grill.
One side of the hut its forest, the other side is Farm.....no noise, no building. Absolute peace and tranquility. A walk through this forest is very relaxing. Excellent for week end break.

Loved it! Beautiful forest scenery.
Oct 2014
I went here with my boyfriend last autumn. It was a stunningly beautiful time of year for a walk through the forest and I enjoyed it so much!
The squirrels were adorable and there were lots of other animals to see - deer, wild pigs, owls, sheep, racoons, etc.
I think it would be beautiful at every time of year and is definitely worth a visit.

Went here while staying in the area. the forest is very quiet and really makes you feel away front he city. Definitely recommend as a day walk for the entire family.

Very relaxing
We went here on a Saturday. It was very busy but most people got stuck with the restaurant. My man and I went further on to the woods. Just the sound of birds and little animals.. It was lovely. We did not see much bigger animals, I think we were speaking to loud. And we have no patience. If you do, go and sit somewhere for an hour or two, I think you will see some animals then. We only saw the deers and caged animals, some bees and butterflies (to be)
But we had a lovely day there! Oh yeah, put on some good shoes, no slippers!

A great day out
Apr 2011
We went here twice during our two week holiday in Germany. This park is great for the kids to explore and learn about nature and animals. My kids especially enjoyed the adventure playground and feeding the geese at the farm. They also like having a close look at an ants nest and loved watching the big eagle owl. As this April was very warm in Germany they also loved taking their shoes and socks of and going for a paddle in the fish pond at the restaurant.
The staff there were very helpful and professional and the food/snacks their were fresh warm and tasty.
I'd recommend this place to anybody who enjoys long walks in the woods and some education on nature preservation mixed in.
