Best pub for miles (km)
Mar 2020 • Friends
The only fault with this pub is that it’s in the middle of nowhere. There are no taxis or ubers so someone has to have a lemonade.
Great fun inside. All the lads behind the bar speak English and the expat community inside are great fun. This is a superb place for newcomers to the mountains of grasse to pick up some very useful local knowledge.

Great pub ..for France!

As pubs go in the locality the Castle is very good. Friendly staff, a selection of draft beers and a very welcome Happy Hour! Not for eats, and a bit limited for space indoors. Sports channels too though.. cheers.

Only Bar for Miles Around
Jan 2018 • Friends
This is our nearest bar and we’d seen it loads of times but never really fancied it til a friend suggested meeting there. Have to say it was a lot better inside than we’d feared though the locals didn’t seem that friendly, even though we were talking French. Wine by the glass was tasty and good value but a really limited choice of beers, topped off by Guinness at €8 a pint! Not sure we’ll rush back.

Just a pub. Nothing special.
Nice to have an Irish pub like this in the area is the next closest pub is a good 15mn away I would say (somewhere in Grasse).
We came here on a Saturday + game night so it was quite packed. Lots of English speaking people and barmen speak very well English (which is a bonus for France!).
They have Kilkenny (Irish beer) on tap so my husband was happy.
However choice of food/snacks is VERY limited which is a shame as we had originally planned to spend more time here and would’ve had more than one drink if they had nicer and more snack/food options. But instead shared 2 snacks, had 1 drink and went out for dinner somewhere else.

Good Watering Hole
Apr 2017 • Family
Called in for a pint or two with family and friends and really enjoyed the atmosphere. Good mixture of ex-pats and locals - all friendly. Beer selection a bit limited, but that's France for you - lager or lager with Guinness. Children friendly. An enjoyable little session.

Very average, there are better pubs to visit than this buisness. The staff do not go out of their way to make your experience enjoyable and rememberable. You get the minimal attention and thats it.Food is horrendous plastic food as I call it.Its a shame because its a great location right on the corner, and could be fabulous if the effort was put in.

Not very friendly
Jul 2016 • Friends
I go there once in a while when the other places are closed. I mean that i find the staff of this place not really friendly. They don't smile much. You can't order when sitting outside and i found that the cheese plates/tapas wrn't that great.

If you are in just for a drink and you don't mind noisy places with sports being displayed on big screen then this is a place to go...

Great pub for a cheeky Kronenburg. Not dissimilar to a traditional British pub but with better weather. Shame we couldn't stay for the live band.

Good atmosphere
Jul 2016 • Family
Have been here just for drinks and can recommend it for a buzzy atmosphere and interesting surroundings. The wine has always been good and it is great to sit outside and watch the world go by. Do call in.
