Breathtaking views, never seen anything like it. Hikes for all ledelse, some quite steep! The restaurant has a good atmosphere to it, great icecream and a turning floor that lets you enjoy the view 360 degree. We were 21 People aged 3 to 72 and had a great time for hours.

At the top of Hohe Salve there is a small restaurant and some attraction that you have to see them. Specialy Wind sound. There is a wooden bed you can sit on it. Close your eyes and you will fill and hear wind sound. Fantastic experience . To rich Hohe Salve is a easy way with cableway. The view is a taking breath away.

Great trip up the mountain in the cable car and what is probably the world's best view from a urinal. Whilst you are using the facilities you can admire a panorama of some of Europe's highest mountains

The entire area of Kitzbühler Alpen is totally overpriced and overrated. This was my first time and I had high expectations having seen the high real estate prices around Kitzbühel. But we were utterly disappointed. It felt like a commercialised Disneyland. The mountains are green and average but the marketing in this area did a tremendous job in advertising. You end up walking up the mountains on gravel streets with electric wire fences on both sides (for example in Brixen) so that tourists stay away from the forest and lands.. Everywhere there are commercialized children activities (magic park, Elmo's nature trail, forest playgrounds etc etc.) - how about simply just letting children experience nature as it is?
There are much nicer areas in Austria which have better mountain trails , a more authentic nature feel and much better mountain views than this area. Try the Tauern area, Pinzgau, East Tirol or Carinthia instead. Prices will also be less.

We were lucky to be here on a very sunny day so the views were fantastic across the valleys to the mountain ranges in the distance. The downside was that it was very crowded - probably the most crowded place during our entire week. As it is so steep there are not many good walks around here but would recommend getting the gondola down to Hopfgarten which is a lovely village with a fantastic church

Very beautiful view up there. You can go up/down with the chair lift and there is also a station about in the middle to enter/exit. Nice experience, we recommend!

Jus the one night in this hotel convinced me to return for a 4 day visit later in the season. The hotel has been completely refurbished and provides wonderful accommodation adjacent to the main area lifts. Linking into Soll, Scheffau, Going, Ellmau and close to Westendorf, this area is terrific for all area skiing. I am a retired ski Instructor who lived and worked in this area and time and effort has gone into linking the resorts. However, this is still Austria and some of the culture is hard for free thinking people to understand. The food is questionable and why they stick to suet dumplings as a culinary treat, is anyone's guess! The Hohe Salve avoids this cliche and presented good food in a classy restaurant - a real winner.

Very impressive place, you can choos the funicular or climbing up. There is very funny middle station with little lakes and atractions. It is possible to take some food and drink, everywhere.
