If you come to Corfu Town, you are inevitably going to end up here. Rating it as "Very good" overcooks it, but it is more than average - the largest square in the Balkans, plenty of shaded elements and benches to rest tired feet, but also lovely statues and gardens. Yes, it is a square, but like Hyde Park in London is more than 'a park', this is more than 'a square'.

This is the biggest plaza/esplanade in all of Greece and it deserves its well-earned bragging rights. And, it is really attractive! It connects the Old Fortress to the Old Town via the Liston promenade. All the while, it reflects is multi-cultural history that encompasses the Venetians, French, and British.
Any visit to Corfu Old Town should include a stop here.

Surroundings and views are nice, but the Spianada itself is a green park with large lawn. Not spectacular, but provides some shade on the hot days. Part of it serves as a parking. Southern part of the Spianada has music pavilion and Maitland monument.

Large beautifully kept wide open green space, so welcome after the shuffling crowds in the narrow streets, which were not unexpectedly filled with a lot of tat, interspersed with more interesting shops. Shaded cafes at the edge, fountains, a bandstand, statues and so forth. And a taxi tank in the middle, which we did use at the end of our exploration of this interesting town. Lovely.

This square is a very beautiful and relaxing place to enjoy your meal or your drink.
It is full of green and trees and is near to other tourist attractions such as the Old Town of Corfu and the Fortress. You can also shop from the various shops many souvenirs, jewllery and home decorations!

This area is located between the old fort and the Liston and dates to 1628. There are some old buildings in need of renovation/restoration, the park with the cricket pitch, a fountain, some interesting monuments, shade trees. Plenty of history on offer and plenty for the tourist to see. The City fathers have to spend some money, else the area will deteriorate at a faster rate. At least ask some volunteers to get rid of the weeds that abound and perhaps some rubbish bins might assist in solving the problem of rubbish.

Beautiful grassy square near the impressive The Liston buildings. Very hot in the afternoon. In summer there are thousands of Common Swifts and Alpine Swifts nesting in the various buildings of the Old Town.

This is located in the centre of Corfu and displays the great buildings in this classical town. Very old building but well maintained inside and out.

A large public square centrally location between Corfu Old Town and the Old Fortress. There is a large park area with trees, lawn and monuments. There is also a cricket pitch. Disabled access is generally good but there is a car park in the middle of the square, near the cricket pitch, which was a bit tricky to navigate with a mobility disability.
