You can spend a quiet day, full of history, right in the heart of Corfu Town. All you have to take on you is a bottle of water and a cell phone camera to capture the wonders that will surround you.

In heart of town. Big, green open space where even locals also come spend their time. In daytime it is full of tourists, cafes and restaurants are classy but highly priced.

Very beautiful green space in the middle of Corfu town. Close to landmarks such as the Old Fortress etc. Very busy with Greek locals and visitors. Lovely to take a walk, or ride on a horsedrawn carriage.

We visited on Sat and Sun. Saw the OLympic beacon on Sat. Unfortunately the band parade on Sunday was aborted by the thunderstorms

This is a large grassy open area surrounded by trees with ornamental gardens at one side and the old cricket pitch at the other. People come here to stroll and bring their children here to play. Its a good access route from the town to the coastal road.

This is a several football field wide square that goes from the old town and the Liston to the Old Fortress. It is framed by nice old buildings of private homes, museums, hotel and restaurants on one end and the Ionian see and the fortress on the other. Aside from the Liston on the west side, it is mostly made... More

This huge open space, in between the Palce of St Michael and St George and the Old Fortress, is the place Corfiuts go to see and be seen. Lots of cafes, tabernas and bars, some under umbrellas and some in the old arcaded buildings, it is a great place to go to soak up local social atmosphere. Lots of touristy... More
