Experience the Islands & swim in the Copper Blue warm waters. Stop off to take lunch from the local cuisine. Sun lotion absolutely required, the sea & sun may leave you a little frazzled so plenty of hydration suggested.

My husband and I spent a delightful morning touring Corfu and it's surrounds in a comfortable air-conditioned mini-van. There were five of us total and the small size made for a delightful trip.

The only glitch was the early pickup. I booked the tour online through Viator and no start time was given. It turned out to be 7:30am. That got us to Paleokatritsa at about 8:30 and it was too early for the boat ride option. We walked up to the monastery and unfortunately, there was service in the church and we did not want to intrude. And the museum was closed. The grounds and the view were quite pleasant so all was not lost.

From there we were driven to the summit of the island and spent a lovely half hour at a small restaurant drinking fresh squeezed oj and looking at the marvelous view of the coves below. Here the early hour worked for us as we had the place to ourselves. As we were leaving a bus filled with 40+ tourists was arriving.

We then were driven to a very nice wine tasting and spent a good hour tasting not only local wines but Lemoncello and other liquors along with tasty sweets.

Then back to old town for a brief walking tour. We had the option to stay there on our own, but the tour had been many hours and we took the opportunity to return to the ship with the van.

The price was very reasonable (about 50 euros each) especially compared to the shore excursions offered by the cruise ship. And there were only 5 of us! Our guides were very pleasant and well informed and gave us a very pleasant morning in Corfu.

I would recommend this tour.

From the very beginning, this was a shore excursion to forget! My wife and I booked this tour, advertised as a small group visit to a winery, a monastery, followed by a short walking tour of Old Town Corfu. The tour was to begin at 0930 departing from the cruise terminal. We arrived at 0915 - and waited for a "Travelco" representative. At 0950, I asked a kindly lady at the information to call the company. Travelco responded that tour would begin at 1030. Shortly after 1000, our tour guide arrived. She explained that Travelco had changed the time of the tour to accommodate another cruise ship that was arriving at 0930. Travelco had only 4 people (including my spouse and I) for the advertised tour. Travelco also had a handful of people who purchased tickets for two different Corfu tours. The company decided to combine the 3 differently advertised tours on one bus. Once boarded, we waited another 30 minutes for 2 people who didn't show up. We finally leave the port at 1105. This was not going to be good.

The guide announced a few minutes later that we would not visit the winery - too much traffic. We would have a "wine tasting" at a restaurant.

We arrived at the monastery, and our guide never conveyed to the passengers that she would conduct a short tour. People straggled off the bus up a hill, where we fortunately ran into our guide - who wondered where everyone else was! We we given 25 minutes for the visit, but some passengers were late.

We departed the monastery for the restaurant "wine tasting" On the way to the restaurant, a few passengers expressed concern that we could complete the tour - their ship was leaving two hours before our ship. It was ridiculous to combine 3 tours from two different ships, leaving port at different times!

The "wine tasting consisted of choosing between white wine and "Grappa. Enough said.
On the return trip to Corfu, I inquired about the walking tour. The guide responded by telling us we would do a "drive by" Old Town.

It was at this point that I requested to be disembarked in Old Town. My wife and I spent about 90 minutes exploring the beautiful town, returning to ship via cab. Most others decided to do the "drive by".

I almost always arrange for private shore excursions for ourselves and traveling companions. This excursion was the only one arranged with a large crowd Mercian company. Never again!

This was truly a wonderful experience. Our guide was kind, helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. We'd had a particularly rough morning by forgetting our spending money then being a few minutes late. I'm so glad the crew waited a few extra minutes for us!

We saw so much of the beautiful island of Corfu. Our first stop allowed us to take a 45-minute boat ride and see some of the most wonderful caves. Then we stopped at an overlook high over the sea. Views I'll never forget. Finally, we passed by the filming area for Durrells of Corfu on our way back to Old Town. Even though the Old Town portion wasn't guided, we were told plenty about the history.

When we asked any questions, we were greeted with great information and even were walked to a good local restaurant.

The coach was first-class. The tour was too. You won't be disappointed. Perfect for those cruising that want to see more of the local flavor.

Spectacular!

The tour group was way too big to start with - we must have been about 40 people. The tour guide was okay but the Achilleion Palace is very run down and crowded. It doesn't look like any trouble is being made to restore the place either which is a shame.

The city tour was a disappointment and the city seems really run down. We broke away from the tour to look around the old city on our own for a while and walked back to port but both my husband and I felt uncomfortable and even unsafe at times.

I cannot recommend this tour.

The pick-up at the port terminal building went smoothly. We waited in a charter bus for 25 mins for other guests to arrive. The drive was about 45 mins to the beach. The driver missed two turns and had to backtrack. When we arrived and he let us off, he indicated that our pick up time was 315 pm. Given that we were supposed to be back at the cruise ship for 330 pm, we all said "what?": The driver (whose English was limited) then said "ok ok 245 pm". We did not have a good feeling about his commitment to have us back to the ship by 330.

Upon walking down to the beach, there is not Travelco rep to indicate which block of beds were ours so we were confused for 5-10 mins until a rep from the beach asked "are you the travelco group?". Once we knew where we could sit, we started enjoying the gorgeous beach. However, still concerned about the trip back, I asked one of the beach reps if he had a contact for Travelco and I explained our situation. He left and said he would look into it. About 90 mins later at 1320, the rep returned and indicated that a bus would be sent for us at 1400. This was a much better pick-up time and i was thankful for the beach rep who chased this issue down for us. Frankly, I had thought he forgot about us.

So while the beach experience was very nice, the logistics need some work. If the price for a cruise-related excursion was not too much higher; i would opt for the security of an excursion booked with the cruise line.

A very enjoyable day trip to Albania. Organisation spot on all day, from coach pick up in the north of Corfu, boat to/from Albania, and coach within Albania.
Lovely ride across on the boat.
Butrint is a fantastic place, I wasn't sure what to expect but it is an amazing
Greco-Roman-mediaeval site, 80% excavated.
Our guide was competent but could have been more enthusiastic.
Good buffet lunch included at a rooftop restaurant.
Albania not as I expected, the big consumer machine has grabbed the last bastion in Europe!
Overall, a day out I would definitely recommend.

I took this tour with my young family just a few days ago. Started badly with driver arriving 50minutes late. Result was we wee
Dumped at various locations without a guide (as they ran around to pick up other tour passengers) and rushed through all the main attractions with very little time. Barely saw anything. As a cruise ship passenger time at each port is limited and the late start ruined the entire tour. Organiser did say she would compensate for late start but was nowhere to be seen on our return. Probably the worst shore tour I’ve ever taken. Would have been better off taking a taxi.

Big bus load of people. No earphones in a noisy palace. Often couldn't hear. Note that admission ticket to Achilleion Palace is not included. . Two people had no euros, the only currency that gets you in. We lost 30 min trying to find a place where their ATM cards would work. This fee should be pre-collected. This wasn't the guides problem- she was trying hard, but the operator, Travelco Corfu is poorly organized. Also be aware, lots of stairs in the palace.

*Likely to sell out: Based on Viator’s booking data and information from the provider from the past 30 days, it seems likely this experience will sell out through Viator, a Tripadvisor company.
