The Achilleion Palace is located around 20 minutes south of Corfu Town and is a real piece of Corfu History. Built in 1887 for Kisser Wilhelm of Germany as a summer retreat. The palace architecture is a mix of central European and Greek with a large number of beautifuly

The story behind the Achilleion Palace was interesting & I thought our guide did a good job. The people running the palace weren't very helpful but we had a guide. Perhaps they didn't speak English. The little town was delightful but our guide made a mistake in not allowing us

Dear guest, thank you for your feedback. The tour you booked lasts four hours, which is the time you spend visiting the Palace, Kanoni and Corfu Old Town, plus the transfer back to the port. We believe the guide allowed you the right time in the Old Town and returned at the scheduled time. Another option would have been staying there and returning to the port on your own. We highly recommend you come back to Corfu on a more leisurely holiday in order to enjoy the beauties and history of this beautiful island!

This was our second stop on a cruise. We had never been, so this tour was recommended. The palace was interesting and old town ws neat. The best part was our tour guide taking us to a restaurant that served local food and drinks. Tried the local beer and wine, both were good.

What a dump. If I could give the palace and Corfu less than one star I would. The former home of Empress Elizabeth of Austria (Sisi) is nothing more than a tired old run down mansion with fabulous art work going to (further) ruin due to lack of funds and laziness. Lovely

Achilleion Palace is a Late Neoclassic nineteenth century built residence which is under constant renovation, but in a very good and safe condition as well. Its premises are daily admired by thousands of guests. This building is maintained by the funds of the Greek Ministry of Culture. We are proud of our cultural heritage and do our best to show it to visitors from all over the world. If a word could define it, it wouldn't be "dump", indeed.

Travelco wasn't easy to find. We finally met the bus ,which we weren't looking for. Our trip was billed small group tour, which is usually one of the smaller vehicles. Several passengers were complaining to the tour guide about why were we like 40 people on a large bus? Anyway
