I've booked online, made the payment by card and, despite the fact that the money has clearly left my account, I've received an email saying that the payment was unsuccessful and I need to rebook and pay again!

We took the tour of Delos with Athena earlier this October 2022. She's exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to answer all sorts of questions. Best tour guide we encountered in Greece.

If you go on this half day tour, wear good shoes and bring your own water. The facilities on the island are limited. The tour itself depends greatly on your guide. Ours was quite knowledgable and definitely gave us the time and information we needed at each stop along the way. I would have liked another hour or two so that we could have hiked to the highpoint of the island for some more fantastic views. All in all a worthwhile trip.

Get Your Guide tour group - Good tour if you only want to see Delos without any other activities. Left from the old port of Mykonos. Was supposed to depart at 10:00, but left 25minutes late. They did not give us an additional 25 minutes on the island, however. So it was a shorter stay on Delos. The winds were very strong, but it is a big boat so it was no problem. Once off the ferry, it was a chaotic mess because there are multiple tour groups on the same ferry so trying to find our guide upon arrival wasted time we could have spent exploring. The guide was the former archeological director of the island. She was informative, but the time with her was only an hour with the remaining time for for us to wander the island. We had to be on the boat by 1:30pm, but could have waited for the next ferry at 3pm. There is a lot to see and 2.5 hrs is not enough time.

The best thing about our visit to Delos was that we booked a tour guide! Ms. Athena is excellent! She transmitted her knowledge and experiences to us with such vividness, vividness and simplicity that she took us back thousands of years. As if we lived there and were the ancient inhabitants of the island! A real ancient Greek pilgrimage getting so much positive energy!

Booking was easy, boat transfer was short and the length of the guided tour was about right (90 mins). Trip is well priced but it is certainly no frills - make sure you take your own refreshments. The entry fee onto the island is not included in the booking price either - this is less than €10 per person but the process would be a little smoother and more transparent if it was included in the price you pay when booking.

I am fascinated by Ancient Greece and Delos is such an important sight. It’s a must do while in Mykonos. The tour guide was fantastic and really transported you back to this ancient world. You can feel the sun god Apollo shining down on you while your here. I recommend doing the 5pm tour as you get the most beautiful golden light hitting the ancient ruins.

I have mixed feelings about this tour - there were positives and negatives. First the positives: Delos is an amazing archaeological site that is well worth visiting and is the only UNESCO World Heritage site in the Cyclades. The boat that we travelled from Mykonos to Delos was of a good size and roomy. I thoroughly enjoyed sitting on deck for the half hour journey. Our guide, an Italian lady called Athena, was knowledgeable and had done archaeological work herself. Now for the negatives: we missed getting a little brochure that had a brief history and a very good map of the site. On our return to Mykonos we found a stack of these brochures by the ticket office where we obtained our tickets but no-one had mentioned them to us. It would be helpful if these were given to you when the ticket is purchased. The guide told us too much too quickly. She was actually over qualified and couldn’t break the history down into manageable chunks for ordinary visitors. I actually have a Ph.D. In the Social Sciences and found it difficult to follow. The audio sets worked when the tour guide stopped but because of the wind (and it was a relatively calm day for this area) most of us couldn’t hear what she was saying. Many of the young people on our tour told her this at the beginning of the trip but she seemed to forget as time went on. She needs a better microphone for the conditions. There was chaos when we first got off the boat and four of us nearly missed our tour.

This is rated as a must do when visiting Mykonos and it promises a lot.
The boat trip is about an hour and when you arrive the various tours head off with everyone having their guide and the obligatory headsets.
The island ruins are mainly low stone walls and an amphitheatre. The guide tries to give the details but it was quite an overload of details and there was a lot of congestion with the groups all trying to get around.
The walk around after the tour had finished was the best part.
The boat has food and a bar but I would suggest taking your own food if possible.

We are 2 people who will be arriving on a cruise ship on May 31, 2019. We read that Delos Tour has an excellent guide for Delos named Athina Loupou. We would be interested in booking 2 places for an English language tour on that morning in a group that she will be guiding. Is that possible? If so, what would be the charge? Would this include the round-trip ferry between Mykonos and Delos? Would it also include admission to the Delos site?
is there a web site at which we could make reservations and buy tickets?

book thru Delos tours. i do not know if athina is available, ask for her (she was really good). you can go on the cheap by getting a ferry from mykonos old port (look for delos kiosk, 20€) and paying gate fee (12€) at the site. 50€ for the tour, my wife & i thought the extra 18€ was worth it.

Buongiorno a tutti,
Grazie mille
