My wife and I were looking for a whale watching trip leaving from Costa Adeje and found Las Romanticas through one of the many kiosks in the resort.
The main selling point for us was the fact that they could take a maximum of ten guests and the price included drinks and canapés.
We were welcomed aboard the yacht by Rachel and set sail. We first headed towards the fish farm visible from the shore as this is a place where Dolphins are often seen. We were not disappointed and were soon watching three Dolphins, including a young baby - the youngest Rachel had seen in 26 years of observing them. After watching the Dolphins jumping from the water we headed further out to sea in the search for pilot whales.
As we cruised, our skipper Carlos told us about the geological history of Tenerife, particularly the Teide volcano. Before long we were in the company of the whales and we spent an enjoyable time watching them interact with each other. Carlos then told us a lot about their behaviour and the physiology that allows them to dive to 1000 metres in search of squid.
Before long we were weighing anchor in a shallow bay, which gave some of us the chance to swim. After a quick dip it was back on board for a lunch of canapés,washed down with a glass of cava or beer.
We then returned to port and all too soon our trip was over.
I cannot praise this experience enough - the yacht was in excellent condition and very well fitted out,the canapés were delicious but what really made it was Carlos and Rachel. Rachel was an excellent hostess and Carlos extremely knowledgable.

Had a brilliant time on this boat trip! It was a bit more personal than the larger boats as they only take 12 people at a time, was a bit choppy so would advise people to take sea sickness tablets prior to going , we saw the pilot whales but not the dolphins, but was excellent seeing them, and think it was Fidel who was captain kept turning the boat so we got the best view! Then went to a small cove where we could swim. Michelle was nice, and kept us topped up with drink! Thank you for a great trip, thoroughly enjoyed it!

DO NOT BOOK - scam!!
We booked 2 months in advance through the website on this page, received several messages from someone named Simon. Spoke to Simon on the morning of our booking and when we arrived at the port at 12.30, Simon told us someone was coming to meet us and this never happened. 2 hours later he finally answered the phone and we were told the "las romanticas" was already out.
This was a special birthday, we were in Tenerife for just 3 days and this completely ruined our experience and the owner refused to speak to us. We then found that this website, is not the official booking, that lots of people represent las romanticas so double bookings can happen easily!! This is just completely unacceptable!
We managed to speak to another company at the port and ended up taking out a much smaller yacht that evening, for more money so we were worse off and had wasted an entire day searching for Simon and sitting around in disappointment!
The company who helped us in the end told us this happens regularly with las romanticas and that they warn everyone not to book with them!! I have tried to complain several times but this has fallen on deaf ears, worst customer experience! I would at least expect a "sorry" from the owner!!
In my advice, DO NOT BOOK!

The driver was 45 minutes late with the excuse of waiting at the wrong hotel. They knew exactly where our hotel was and suggested we waiting outside Wotherspoons. I had to make two phone calls to chase the driver.
The boat is in need of updating as it is very tired looking.
We were offered this package as all inclusive with unlimited drink and tapas food.. It was very disappointing to be offered french bread with ham and salami. No tapas in sight.
It was lovely seeing the dolphins but I would not book with this Company again. I would not recommend this trip to anyone else.
Our trip was on 10/07/19

We booked to enjoy a relaxing 3 hour trip and was faced with an awful 2 1/2 hours of disappointment. The staff were rude, the food was awful and they didn’t take any notice of the reported allergies. Although drinks were unlimited ... they were not forthcoming but sick bags were !
It wasn’t a great day for sailing, very choppy and questionable if they should have actually sailed.
The boat and the day out looks nothing like the brochure. There is nothing 5* about it.
Avoid at all costs !

Horrible experience from start to finish! We paid €75 (half price) for 2 of us on a ‘luxury yacht’ which looked like it was ready to fall to pieces when we saw it. Firstly, the taxi was 30 minutes late to pick us up due to “lots of traffic” - there’s no traffic in Tenerife. Then when we got to the boat, we waited a while for it to set off. There wasn’t enough seating for everyone on the boat and the sea was so choppy that the boat definitely wasn’t safe to be out. The staff 100% knew this as at the beginning of the trip they mentioned sick bags were available from the captain. We weren’t offered any drinks and had to ask for tiny cups of them. Every single passenger on the boat felt sick 20 minutes into the trip and most people were sick. I’ve never been sea sick before on a boat trip but this one was something else! The driver asked us if we wanted to turn around to which we all said yes, as the sea was so choppy. When we returned (in just over an hour from the start of the 3 hour trip), they offered us the “cooked meal by the chef on the boat” that we were promised. It turned out to be stale bread with cheese and salami on it, with a few slices of watermelon. The manager of the trip came over to the boat and asked if I was sick, when I told him I was, he laughed and gestured that I was pregnant. Insulting or what !! We walked off the boat to get a drink and when we returned at 3.50pm to get our 4pm taxi back to the hotel, there was no one to be seen. We had to ask the owner for a lift home when he finally returned at 4.20pm. The next boat was meant to be leaving at 4pm but did not as the sea wasn’t safe. All we were offered for the horrendous day was “have a nice holiday”. Absolute shambles - don’t waste your money!!

We were collected from the hotel by a lovely lady called Sylvia and taken to Puerto Colon marina which is a truly beautiful place. We boarded the boat and were greeted by the crew who were all very friendly and made us feel very welcome onboard. We then set off out of the marina into the ocean - was very relaxing. First stop was the pilot whales and the did not disappoint - fascinating creatures feeding off the squid. Then back out further into the ocean and the next stop was for the dolphins who swam right up to the boat which was magical! We then carried on sailing until we got to a little cove where we moored up for lunch and a spot if swimming for those who wanted a dunk in the water (snorkels were provided). We then sailed back along the beautiful coastline back to the harbour where Sylvia was waiting to take us back. She gave us a guided tour of los Cristianos showing us all the best places to head out and a big giggle along the way - she is a little crazy but was fantastic!! Thank you to all involved in our trip - was a fantastic and truly memorable day!! We will be back!! Thank you!!!

Are life vests available for going into the sea as one of our party is not a very strong swimmer but doesn't want to miss out.
Written September 8, 2016
My honest answer is I'm not sure but the water is very cool might not be good for a not very good swimmer

Would we be picked up and returned from Iberostar las Dalias. Can two people book for the afternoon sailing, or is it only for group bookings?
