Whale and Dolphin watching with the Royal Delfin Boat company. I would highly recommend this excursion, completely worth every penny. We booked this trip online on “Get your guide”. Our trip started at 2pm near the harbour in Costa Adeje. Before boarding, they will take a family photo (you can choose to buy it if you want at the cost of 5 Euros). We boarded at approximately 2:15pm and sat at the top deck. It was a very hot day (almost 30 degrees) so I would suggest taking sun cream. We started our boat ride into the Atlantic Ocean. The views were stunning. You can actually see both Tenerife and Gran Canarias side by side. The tour guide was extremely friendly, and I was so impressed with his knowledge of languages. He was fluent in 5 languages. We were sailing for around 30-40mins. Before the captain made a stop in the middle of the ocean and that was when we saw the beautiful, majestic bottle-nose dolphins. I was absolutely speechless witnessing these creatures in their natural environment and not in captivity makes you feel so happy. The boat has a submarine (under water) vision glass window downstairs, which is great because you can see the animals underwater. However, I preferred staying at the top deck as it is nicer to see these animals not behind glass for once. We then went on further into the ocean and that is when we spotted a family of Pilot Whales. Once again, a spectacular sight! The Pilot Whales were smaller than I expected. However, its not everyday you get to see a whale! LOL It was great as there was pin drop silence on the boat. Everyone was stunned by the sight of these marine animals. Th total boat ride was 3 hours. During the second hour the tour guide mentioned that we will be heading towards a bay where we will be allowed to swim in the sea. Word of advice: Wear your swimming clothing under your casual clothes as the boat didn’t have a changing room. We had to get changed in a very small toilet. We were allowed to jump into the sea from a platform. We were told that the bay was 25m deep. The boat staff will provide life jackets for people who are not confident swimmers. We could not stay in the water for more than 10mins as the current was pulling us further out to sea. After, the swim. They served us lunch which consisted of Rice, chicken meat balls and Canarian potatoes. The food was a little bland, but it was ok. There were unlimited cold drinks on board including Sangria. Once lunch was over, we headed back to the harbour. On the way back we took some photos of the impressive scenic views. Overall, it was a great experience that I will cherish. Thank you Royal Delfin!

We took the four hour afternoon cruise, and the boat was very busy, which is to be expected. The crew were very friendly and accommodating, and the tour guide herself was well informed and entertaining The views from the boat were incredible, as soon we left the harbour we were able to the perfectly clear horizon on one side and the beautiful Costa on the other. We were stood at the very front of the boat with the sea spraying us, very refreshing The boat stops in a sort of cove just a little north of Los Gigantes where you are dwarves by the sheer cliff, and guests are encouraged to take a swim off the back. Would highly recommend doing so, this is a once-in-a-lifetime bucket list moment The views below deck in the glass room were amazing when the boat was stopped, well worth checking out On the way back the crew got wind of a pack of dolphins further out to sea so we took a detour, all in all the journey lasted around 5.5 hours so a fair bit longer than the 4 hour estimate- Not that I'm complaining! My only qualm was that the food served on board was a bit rubbish, but we didn't mind as it was complimentary and we were at an all-inclusive resort so didn't go without

After being unsure where our coach was picking us up from we eventually got on it- then were taken for half an hour up the west coast to pick up more passengers (ha ha, we thought we were being kidnapped initially). The boat was fine, there wasn’t really anywhere to sit as people had put their baggage over all of the seats, but there is a nice part in the bottom of the boat where you can see underneath the water! We didn’t try the food as we don’t eat meat but that really isn’t anyone’s fault. There was a part where you can get off and swim in a beautiful bay which looked fun. They also charge you €10-15 to buy the pictures that they take of you when you first get on, which is pretty normal. All-in-all I’d say I probably wouldn’t do it again for the £90 it cost for us both, but it wasn’t bad.

Me and my husband thoroughly enjoyed this mini cruise. Lovely sangria..lovely staff..tasty food and they definitely know where to take you. So lovely to be able to see the beautiful dolphins and whales in their natural habitat (although they live less in their habitats than dolfinariums) re visiting in August and will definitely take the kids on this one!

Visited on 2/4/2019 and although the weather wasn’t fantastic (cloudy and raining), the tour was still fantastic! We did the 4.5 hour trip: transport from our hotel to the boat, sangria, beer, food and soft drinks all included in the price. They even catered to me as a vegetarian and brought on board my own personal tortilla for lunch! Within the first 15 minutes into the trip we spotted our first pod of pilot whales, with at least another 40-50 of the animals being spotted throughout the rest of the journey! Stopping off at Masca for a swim was fantastic, bad weather did not stop me and my friends from diving straight in! The view of Los Gigantes on board this boat was breath taking! On our way back after our lunch we spotted a friendly group of bottlenose dolphins who played in the waves of the boat and showed off for us! The crew on board were extremely friendly and helpful and the man leading the tour was fantastic in his knowledge of both the sea and the island! His ability to speak at least 4 different languages was fantastic! Would definitely recommend and already have to family and friends, and I am definitely going to do it again when I return in September! Thank you very much for a fantastic day out everyone on board Royal Delfin!
