We weren’t so sure about which one to hire, as there were lots of options for whale watching. We picked this one for the good reviews and because it the shuttle was included, at the end they couldn’t collect us as we were out of the zones they do collections, but since we had car, they paid for our parking which was a kind gesture.
Most important, the crew, both Iñigo and Edmond were terrific hosts, both very chatty, friendly and nice people, they were making sure that all of us were having a good time.
First we went looking for whales and dolphins and they explained to us what species we could see and some rules for the boat and to behave while watching them. We were very lucky and could see both pilot whales and dolphins, some of their babies too.
They were very respectful and keep certain distance from the animals. They even stopped two times to collect rubbish from the sea.
After that, we went to a beach and have a swim for 25 min, which was very appreciated after being under the sun for a long time. We would’ve liked swim for a longer time, though. And they were serving some food too, a quiche, calzone, breadsticks, tortilla española and tomatoes; and cold drinks.
Then, adventure was over and we headed back to the port.
A note here, if you usually experienced travel sickness, do take your pills before handed, otherwise it won’t be very pleasant journey. My kids enjoyed the whales for a bit and then they felt bad, afterwards, the swimming they enjoyed a lot.
