It is amust see attraction when you visit Nagpur. It has a historical significance.Dr. Ambedkar took Deeksha of Buddh religion here.Its really well kept & serene. We visited just after the sunset & the structure looked magnificient. Very clean .

This is a must visit place for Buddhism. Also known as Diksha Bhawan. Dr. Ambedkar initiated conversion of many Dalits to Buddhism here.

Dikshabhumi the beautiful place and every year on Dashera many followers came at dikshabhumi for Buddha diksha.

Its a very peaceful area, and one of the biggest Buddha stupa and you should visit it if you are in Nagpur

Nagpur city provides limited sightseeing options and relatively Deekshabhumi Stupa is a decent place. Preferably visit in the evening or morning when its not too sunny. The place is spread over many acres but the main place to visit it the Stupa. You can peacefully sit inside the stupa and pray/meditate. There is a small exhibition inside the stupa which... More

It is known as Diksha bhoomi . Special place for dalit and Buddhist people. 6 lakh people got converted to Buddhism along with baba saheb ambedkar on 2nd october 1956. It has sacred bodhi tree which is brought from sri lanka.
