This is the place where Dr. Ambedkar too his diksha. It is quite a popular spot. You should visit this place.

Its a very peaceful area, and one of the biggest Buddha stupa and you should visit it if you are in Nagpur

Nagpur city provides limited sightseeing options and relatively Deekshabhumi Stupa is a decent place. Preferably visit in the evening or morning when its not too sunny. It is known as Diksha bhoomi . Special place for dalit and Buddhist people. 6 lakh people got converted to Buddhism along with baba saheb ambedkar on 2nd october 1956. It has sacred bodhi tree which is brought from sri lanka.

Excellent location choosed by dr. ambedkar for mass religious conversion ,being in the center of india. Pleasant atmosphere with masterpiece historical monument ...!!

It is perhaps the only monument of Nagpur which is this big in size. It is well maintained from the inside. The large ground adjoining it is a playground to several sports clubs.
