Like many places in Lanzarote, Puerto del Carmen was originally a small fishing village, and the old harbour is still a delightful place to visit, boasting some excellent bars, restaurants and excursions running out of the harbour.

We visited (my parents and I) this place a few times during our holiday. The staff were kind and their service was great. The food was brilliant, we had tapas every time as well as Garlic Prawns, which were very tasty. Great value for money!...More

Weve just came from a stroll in the old town harbour. Very nice place to go for a walk at lunchtime or in the evening. Wide variety of restaurants if you feel like hungry.

Much better than the strip, quieter and more character to this part of the town, some good restaurants here to eat at, nice walks along the boardwalk and a market on a Friday about 10am - 2pm ish.

We stayed this side of town for a week and enjoyed everything the Old Town has to offer. Loads of restaurants (choose wisely as plenty of very touristy ones), fish and cats around the boardwalk, small marina and port - and keep walking to go...More

Lovely restaurants and shops around this area, well worth going for a day trip and was an extremely cheap taxi ride from the hotel.

Hi. There are no theme parks but there are a couple of small water parks on the Island. - u would need to be brave to use these in the winter months tho! There is a submarine trip that may appeal to them?
